Help with Cardio/Lifting Order

Hey all, normally i go to gym at around 8am and do 30 min of cardio on elliptical / treadmill at a fairly high resistence, burning around 550 cal (dont really trust machines however). Im pretty much soaked afterwards.

My queston is that is it better to life before or after cardio. Diff. people tell me diff things, and i want a solid answer .

Also, i dring a protein shake pre workout (Simply cold water, splenda, and 2 scoops whey ) . Would the protein get 'burned' during cardio, or would it be used towards muscle rebuilding. etc?
 
Are you bulking or cutting ?

If you're bulking doing both cardio and weights in the same session is counterproductive

So let's say you' trying to burn fat

Here is what you need to do:

1]Take some proteins before your workout to prevent too much catabolism
no carbs

2] Lift weights

3] Cardio

4] Another protein shake
You can take some carbs to replenish your glycogen stores
 
When I cut, I do cardio first thing with no shake beforehand....than train 8-10 hours later.......after a few meals are in......if you are pressed, lift first, then hit the cardio for 20-30 minutes......
