help! possible injecton site infection?

Hello, first time poster.

Monday night i did the first injection of my first cycle.250mg eq mixxed with 375mg test into my glute. A total of 2.5ml in ine shot. Its thursday around lunch now and my right glute is very sore, getting up out of chairs, into cars etc is painfull. The injection site is slighty red. Tuesday after the injection is was a little sore, but no major discomfort, now i have a limp. I did my injection bymelf and i was nervous, the needle shhok a little and i had to put it back once. I know i did a sloppy injection and wont make that mistake again, although i did take about 2min to fully inject the 2.5ml. The area doesnt seem to be hotter then any other part of my body, and i am not feeling sick.

What do you guys think? In about 8 hrs it will have been 72 hrs since the injection. I am in the military and would like not to tell the docs i was injecting steroids as iam not sure if i will get in shit for it.

Bro, I have had many an episode like the one you explain. Especially in my beginning years. The worst part is your mind running wild and scaring the shit out of yourself. Relax. Normally an infection will be warm to the touch, you may develop a fever and become ill like the flu. I have had it hurt terrible for a week and been OK. Just keep an eye on it and it will slowly go away. If it does start to show sign of infection then you will need antibiotics(cipro) and see doc.

Your good man, its from sweepin the needle around like a machete in you ass, and putting 2.5ml of oil into a muscle thats never been injected into! That isnt a small shot, especially for a first timer. Inject into your quads IMO, lets you see what you are doing and not work at a weird angle. Just make sure your muscles are relaxed, your gear has been heated under hot water or a hair dryer, and you massage the hell out of the injection spot and rub with alcohol immediately post inject. I like to do it before or after a real hot shower as well. The less needle movement you get the less soreness you will experience, and a virgin muscle gets way more sore than after it is used to getting pinned. Dont ignore it... but I wouldnt worry. Have a good cycle bro!

Jsut make sure that when your doing your injections, your not injecting into an area the is highly associated with nerves. I personally have shot several times in the glutes and its never painful except the next day waking up for a couple hours. Im a surg tech and pro at giving injections. I can tell you ur probably jsut a lil sore too because your body just took a needle atleast 1 inch and twice at that. 22G im guessing?
Tips-
If you ever remove the needle tip after insertion into tissue, change the needle tip. Needles go dull after penetrating the rubber stopper on the vials. I always change the needle tip after any contact or penetration for saftey purposes too. Using a needle after it has penetrate a stopper or skin will cause discomfort for longer every time.
Make sure your prelube the needle tip all the way to the syringe and then you insert the needle swiftly in a lean muscle, with the muscle relaxed with no tension or flex whatsoever. Draw back on the plunger to check for blood, then inject. If it helps, once you see theres no blood. just turn your head and push the plunger until it stops. Rub it with an alcohol pad for about 1 min and rub the surrounding tissue for another good 1-2 min. Id even say try taking a hot shower so the oil can release a bit better in the body. Tension+pressure+blunt inj.=pain....
If you google steroid injection site, you can see pictures of recommended injection areas because of low nerve endings, veins, and arteries...

Hi, thank you for the replys. I am going to post a picture of the injection site when i get home. I used a 25g 1 1/2" needle. The needle never actually came out of the skin after the initial stick, just moved out 1/4" so i moved it back in. I did however move it around by accident while drawing out to check for blood at the start.

Grab a hot washcloth and massage it, this will help break up the oil and lessen the pain.Plan to spend some time every few hrs doing this.

Thank you everyone for replies. The reddness seems to have gone down a little bit, but the area is warmer then then my left glute. Reading similar threads this could just be a BA reaction. From injecting 2.5ml for my first shot. Based on everyone's experience....having 72 hrs past the injection should I go see my army doctor?

Notes

-First injection 250mg EQ 375mg test mixxed in same pin
- 25g 1.5" pin injected 2.5ml into right glute, first self injection, went sloppy and moved it around by accident.
- 24 hrs late slight discomfort
- 36 hrs pain in injection site
- 40hrs + limping and pain in right glute
- 48 hrs reddness has gone down, still painfull and a little warm. Seems to be SLIGHTLY better after I took a hot shower


Any info you guys have is great.

Woke up this korning and the reddness has vanished a bit, and it isnt as sore. I will be getting my next shot from a friend who has 8 yrs experience pinning. Should i go quads or my other glute? Any thiughts would be awesome and please excuse my newbie questions

Id go for the glute again if you have a friend doing it, I personally stick my quads but I'm only 4 days in on my testo 500mg e5d + dboll cycle. Got a bit of a limp the first two days but nothing major, injected 1ml in the left and 3ml in the right. Forgot that I was "fronting" 1g so I did 750 in the right..
Do glute, I hear it's less pain the following days!
