It's also known as Driscoll's Firmament.

Named after the famed phrenologist Keziah Driscoll. Eventually the disease was so advanced he became slightly insane and would shave the skin off the tips of his fingers before examining patient's scalps.

Some of his more noted patients:
Queen Elizabeth
James Earl Jones
Franklin Roosevelt
Little Richard
Harry Potter
Walter "That's SIR Walter" Raliegh
Crazy Horse
Michael Jackson

Here's two links for you.

Familial hypercholesterolemia, (FH) which affects 1/500 individuals, is one of the most common forms of genetic disease and has been shown to cause arteriosclerosis, coronary artery disease and myocardial infarctions (1). By the early 1970s it was widely recognized that FH was an autosomal dominant disease with two distinct clinical types: heterozygous individuals with roughly double the normal value of cholesterol who tended to experience MIs in their 30’s and 40’s and the more severely affected homozygotes who had up to six-times the normal value of cholesterol and who frequently died of MI’s in childhood. It was also understood that FH involves abnormally high levels of low-density lipoproteins (LDL), as opposed to other density lipoproteins such as HDL, IDL and VLDL, all of which have lower percentage compositions of cholesterol (1).
