it seems like no matter what excercise i do i always feel like i am using my arms, mostly my biceps. i feel it the most when attempting to work my chest, back, and shoulders. i think i feel it the most when doing back or chest. anybody got any tips as to how i can take care of this problem?

Yes - to alleviate this problem you would train something on the lower half of your body called 'the legs'. :)

It would help to know what exercises you are performing. If you are doing bent over barbell rows for example with an underhand grip (I use overhand after I watched my brother tear his bicep tendon, oooouch!!!) - you would feel some bicep involvement as you are pulling it up to your waist.

Maybe some assistance from someone who has very good form in the gym. Just ask them to make certain you are doing your exercises properly.

if by chest you are referring to flyes, I can totally see that. the bicep is there keeping your elbow from hyperextending under the weight. I can also see it for any pulling movement. the biceps are heavily involved in fixing the arm in position (as with flyes) and also bending the arm (as in rowing).

its normal.

maybe replacing the flye with pec deck, taking the bi's outta the equation a little more. half of my problem was lack of concentration and also going heavier due to ego. using good form can be a humbling experience but when i started doing so, i felt it so much more in the muscles i was trying to hit. use the force...

yeah, thats one of the excercises i am referring to. i also see it with low rows with the cable. anyone have a god example of how to manual rows without a machine? such as animated thing.
