I won't point out that the Germans knew the Allies could bridge a river with ease.
That crap in "saving private ryan" about the Krauts going hells bells to blow a bridge over a creek so as to "delay the advance" was tomfoolery.

in fact I think the whole Allied decision to invade sicily/Italy in mid '43 was fucking stupid

Major Major is a commander who doesn't command. He hates dealing with people, and is somewhat frightened of them. He therefore instructs his receptionist/orderly that, whenever he is in his office, any visitors should be told he is out. When he leaves his office (sneaking out the back window), the receptionist can send visitors in to see him. In short, the only time you can see Major Major in his office is when he's out. If he's in, you can't see him. It's an example of Catch-22, although the catch is not explicitly mentioned in this connection.
 
i dont know if anyone suggested anthony,but i think its a good solid middle name,mainly because its my second middle name
 
How bout River Arlo. Or you could do like I did with my little boy and give him your middle name. We named our boy Riley Joseph. I was going to give him my first name as his middle but Riley Daniel didn't have a good ring to it. That way he'll have a little more of you with him.
