Please define: "dip angle", "Gtotal" (why is the B-field "G", what does the grav const do here?), what kind of specific chemical content in the soil (para-, anti-, ferro magnetic chemicals will have different effects), "gyro tool", and "+1 degree angle in the well bore" (+1 degrees from orthogonal to the surface of the soil/earth?)

I don't know plug&chug engg stuff, I study the mathematics and theory. Real life applications belong to the engg's.

Gyros are only used, and there are many types for wells with an inclination. They present no value at vertical.
Magnetometers are all affected by the earth's magnetic field, strength, dip angle and ferrous content of the soil. As well as any metal we may have in the hole or from previous wells.
Gyros, are wether rate or laser-ring or mechanical are unaffected by the magnetics of the earth.
I can explain more later if you want. It is cool egg-head stuff. K when I get recharged for you just for asking. This is what pays my salary. Lots of other variables but again I can explain more later sleepy time now.

Htotal measures the intensity of the field. Htotal and Btotal are interchangeable.
This is true in the USA. I haven't drilled out of country. Then I would have to go metric too. LOL.
