Okay... this Saturday it will be a year since my grandpa passed.
It was pretty rough on my mom when he went, so I'm looking to do something nice for her on the year anniversary.

I was thinking of a nice collection of a dozen spring roses, but then I saw this pimp little thing...

http://www.proflowers.com/cfm/productDetail.cfm?pID=944&lng=&catID=1FR&REF=DT_&CCDT=2vLfoGxNuvP8tdx3lfMKlJa3lg8bFZeL085ipcKwg8LWO1iZstdY8RPT3VIo2FUjQWzHiJoHX4qLxOGi0THwNmnfBuFZjHWOyD6TEWgmAx7qlxsGrB3VIm2PM5AXUylWz1PSoiDseL9O1iU8bZS2VICbwg5hp8KVpCKWMoAX7qVz8APc3LIsEiM5AXUGQpaAk0oHDseL9O1igTRXSQV6ovrUqL9c1i

It would live a lot longer, she'd be able to plant it in her little garden... and Mr. Miyagi the tree to her heart's content... my grandpa was a gardener for many years... so I know he'd love it.

Please let me know... Flowers, bonzai, or neither and you think I should go with _______.

Do you think the bonzai tree is a bad idea for this?

Help a stoned brother out... I'm trying here!!!

Thanks for any help.

I actually think the tree is a neat idea! She could plant it in memory of him, and think happy thoughts of him each time she babied it!!! Definitely the better choice, I think.

Alright... thanks to the both of you.

On the card I'm gonna write (and the first line is from the "Hanging Up His Bridle" he picked to be on his funeral service program.)

"A year after he hung his bridal, I'm sure there is a proud smile beneath that cowboy hat. As he saw the love and strength of his youngest daughter, my dad see's it in his wife, and I see it in my mom. The 3 blessed men love you always."

Is it good, or a little much?
