Help!! Is 39 to old for me?

I have been dating this lady for about 2 months now and she is exactly what I'm looking for personality and looks wise except the only thing I am really questioning now is do we really have a future together? I'm 26 right now and she will be 40 in 6 months.
Eventually I'm going to want kids in the future (I think). But do you guys think I'm just wasting my time or should I just take it day by day and see how it goes?

She also has the same concerns I do but it really stinks that we both get along so great but the age difference is really confusing us.

How you get along mentally - age does not matter.

How you get along physically - age might matter. 40+ YO women have higher risk during pregnancy, so this might be an issue. If she's healthy and fit, that will help, but w/o a physical exam, etc... its tough to say much specific.

Bottom line = If you love her, and having kids is a major issue due to age considerations, go to a doc and find out the real story.

My now ex bf's wife (he is seperated) is 43 and he is 33, she wouldn't give him sex for the last two years of their marriage then they have been seperated for two years. I think some women as they get older, lose interest in sex, you have to think about that.

And she may not be able to have children, if you really want children you will have to give that dream up.

I am just saying, think about it before you take the plunge. I have dated younger men, but I really want someone my near my own age, younger or older, within five years. I want someone in my generation.

First off i don't think u should be even worrying about marriage and kids at 2 months. That is WAAAAAAAYYYYYY too early. Second, take it day by day like me. If it's meant to be, it is meant to be. Third, just have fun. Older women have a lot more to offer than younger women. They love sex constantly. A women doesnt reach her sexual prime til about 40 while a man reaches it around 18 or so. So have fun, enjoy what you have and quit worrying about kids and marriage at such an early time in the relationship

My mother had me when she was 41 and my father was 52. These days more and more women are having babies later on in life. 39 is by no means "dried up". If she's in good health and takes care of her self I don't see a problem. Make sure she's supplementing with folic acid daily........just in case. Good luck!

I am quickly approaching my 35th birthday and though younger men hit on me all the time, they do not interest me in the least...

The oldest man that I had dated was 61 and I enjoyed his company immensely.

Generally, I prefer and am attracted to men my age and up... usually 40 ish.

No reason to stress about the future as it is very premature to think about it... a lesson that I had to learn THE HARD WAY. Just be honest with each other abuot your feelings and intentions..

If there is an attraction there and you both connect, then go for it. It's just a number at the end of the day. If you were 21 or something then i think there would be major problems, but you sound mature enough at 26 to be able to make it work. Ladies are like fine wine.
