Help, Injection problem!!!!

I have been self medicating (AS) on and off for over 8 years. This morning I attempted to give myself my regular Monday Right Quad injection. The needle went in smoothly. I began to push the AS (Homebrew Fina) through, 1/2cc into the shot (the entire volume would have been 1 1/2ccs if I had been able to complete). I got this unbeleivable pain through my whole leg. I had to stop the injection and the pain literally doubled me over for about 2 minutes. It then subsided and I began to sweat like mad and felt dizzy. All symptoms finally left about 10 minutes later, now I feel fine. Does anyone know WTF happened?? I do this with regularity and never had anything like this happen. This was the first shot of a new bottle of Fina could it have been the product? Or was I just on top a nerve? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need to re-try the shot soon so I don't fall off my schedule...... Thanks..Banshee

did you aspirate? Never happened to me before, but you could have hit a vein.

Sorry, I should have mentioned I did aspirate before I began to push. The needle did move slightly when I was pushing so maybe its possible I moved it into a vein????

It does sound like you may have injected directly into a vein. Next shot inject just 1/2cc at first to insure that you are not having some reaction to the drug itself.

put the whole needle in and then some

use a less large needle if you have too, but put the whole needle in AS FAR AS YOU CAN before aspirating (as if you are trying to put the whole syringe in). Keep the needle in position, don't let it come back for a fractin of an inch. Otherwise it may get into a vein.

It sounds as if you injected part of it into a vein. I have never heard of anyone geting a large pain from injecting into a vein though

Thanks for all the replies!! I kind of thought possibly I had injected partially into a vein, I needed some opinions before I retry... Im gonna retry a couple of inches from the last this afternoon, hopefully all goes well. I am going to take liftsiron's advice and inject only 1/2 cc first and wait to if there is a reaction... Thanks!!!

Update

Must have been a vein or a nerve or a combination. This am the inject went perfect, no pain, nothin. The inject was about 1" forward and 1/2" up from the last one that caused so much problems... Anyway thanks for the help!!

Be careful with quad injects. I've recently heard of guys actually killing muscles when injecting there. I guess they would hit nerves. But the muscle just dies, and leaves an indention.
