my friend hooked me up at a job at a restaurant about 3 weeks ago. its a decent job, pays shit (8/hr aka min wage in canada), but the ppl i work for are super nice and all my co workers are my age or younger and so its really easy to get along with them or talk to them. everyones really cool and the kitchens can be quite fun. i get along well with a few of the girls there and theyre really pretty.. basically im just starting to settle in. however, there is an asshole supervisor (its always those who are not at the top, but somewhat half way that are thebiggest ego trippers) and this guys a total douche.
i honestly think that he has a bi polar disorder because he goes from nice to asswad the next. i guess when youre like 40 and u arent even a manager at a pizza parlor surrounded by teenagers, you too will get quite bitter. anyways...
my other friend hooked me up with a job at another place. its downtown and its super ritzy downtown. itonly seats 45, expensive/upscale prices/neighborhood and the pay is considerably higher (12 hr). this place doesnt do deliveries or pickups so the majority of the kitchen staff is focused only on the 45 seats. and since i am in college, the less i work the better - and i get to chose my days. at the other place i work 3 days a week- 3 of the busiest days of the week working deliveries, pickup, and catering the 200 seats in the restaurant.
so should i ditch my current job for the ritzy one? everything seems to be better, but the only thing thats keeping me here would be my coworkers who i get along with really well and this girl that i really like. also , even tho i make crappy min wage atm, they will let me get tips after a probationary 3 months.
