HELP! Getting caught for shipping Stuff!?!

k, a buddy of mine sent some gear to another buddy. For some reason the delivery card says they attempted to deliver but no one was home and they left a card. He didn't receive the card or any knock on the door. It was suppose to be sent to a P.O box. He has have the tracking # to check where about it's located (online) and the city is not the correct city which it's suppose to be.

If for some reason, the wrong person gets ahold of it.. How can he save his ass? Does he just say "i didn't do it, that's a mistake"?

I dont want shit to happen to this guy, I just wanna make sure.
I thought if he played dumb and said "No i never sent a package" he would get away with it.

IS that right?
Btw this is in Canada.

I'm just wondering.

If he's contacted by law enforcement he should say - "I have no idea of what you are talking about".
Then he should contact a lawyer.

This applies to all criminal acts, mailing gear, murder, robbery's, you get the idea.

Dreaming up what you think is a clever story is best left till AFTER you've spoken to a lawyer.
