HELP Choose an A.I. Project ;-)

(sorry a bit way of topic...)

I'm in an Artificial Intelligence programming class (college)...
A programming project for the term is required: 'A program that requires intelligent thinking' i.e. chess, card games, board games, advanced calculations... and so on...'

I'll make a Java Applet and put it on line so that people could interact! And this is where you come in: What kind of a program/game would you like to have done?

Something that is: unique, interesting, requires intelligent input/output from my program (and/or human player as well)!

I am completely open to new ideas, so just fire whatever you have on your mind, it might be just what needs to be done!

The program takes in human characteristics, ie) arrogance, stupidity, greed, ugliness, learning disabilities, then provides the perfect way to slaughter that person, if s/he existed.

How about poker opponents of varying intelligence ranging from sub-standard human to "Data from Star Trek x 2?" Theoretically, in the long run, the player with the best possible mathematical strategy based on known cards should beat the crap out of everyone else.

Or, you can create a chat program where the program learns about the person it is speaking to and can eventually sustain long, intelligent conversations.

i.e.

"hi program I'm warik"
"hi warik, how are you?"
"ok except that school sucks"

*days later*

"hi program"
"hi warik. is school still sucking?"

Instead of having a multitude of programmed responses, the programmed responses would be generated as time went on based on a basic set of rules. oooh, fun.
