Help Analyze my Workout and Diet

I'll chime in on the Cliff Bar...I like them.....I am pretty sure they were designed for endurance athletes (triathlon, adventure racing, cycling, climbing, swimming, distance running, etc etc), so a bodybuilder may be horrified when they see the carbs and relatively low protein in them.....but I always thought they tasted good and get you through a workout, and like Bunny said, they are a quality product. For trivia, I think the creator named them after his dad, who was named Cliff, lol.

Alright, I just got back from the Yankee game. They won. All is good, well, almost all is good. Before the game I tried a new workout:

(I'm only going to show the working sets)

Squats 135x5 (I definitely feel I could have done much more, I was doing 200 on the hack squat machine).

DB Bench 55x5 (I will be moving to barbell next workout and starting at 135.

Standing row (not free weights) 60x5 (I may bump this to 70 next workout

Military press machine 20(on each side)x5 (I remember a time when I was struggling with 15 on each side, now I was basically throwing this weight in the air)

DB kickbacks 35x5 (I will be changing exercise to assisted dips for the triceps going forward)

Preacher DB curl 25x5 (I will be changing exercise to assisted chin ups going forward).

Overall, I didn't feel like I worked too much. I think it will be some time and I will really feel it.

The bad part of my day was my food.

Meal 1: 2 packs of oatmeal with 1 scoop of protein

Meal 2: 1 package of beek jerkey

Meal 3: hot dog, HUGE bag of cracker jacks (cliche, yes I know) and a soda (its been a while since I drank a coke)

Meal 4: wings, potatoe skins and a chocolate cake desert.

I am disgusted with what I ate, but now I realize that I feel like shit when I eat like that. Granted, it has been a while since I really went off the deep end, but I went head first this time.

Tomorrow I run and run and run. I will hopefully have pictures soon.

I woke up this am (or early afternoon to be exact) and went to the makeshift gym in my complex (only treadmills, elipticals, etc...).

I tried to do my routine of 3x25 of pushups and fell short and the same for my ab work. I'm thinking its one of two reasons. One, I was on an empty stomach (that is how I was told to do cardio to burn the most fat) and/or two, the diet that I had last night did not exactly provide me the best nutrition.

However, I did run for quite a while and I feel my endurance building. I recently quit smoking, so this is a tremendous step.

I know that my numbers are not the most impressive, but from where I was to where I am now and where I am headed, this is huge.

Great job on kicking the habit.. one of the best things aside from working out & eating healthy that you can do for your body.

Three bonuses! Keep at it :D
