Help 22 LOW TESTOSTERONE

esteve101

New member
I am a 22 year old male. Athletic, clean diet, get 7-9 hours of sleep a night, don't drink. I am a boxer so my workouts are more on the cardio side but weight training is also added. (would say 70% cardio / 30% weights). But my testosterone total level is at 133 (ref range 241-827). My levels have been low for about two years now, and my endo is still hesitant to put me on HRT (I am still a lil hesitant myself). I also found out that I have hypothyroidism about a year ago which I am being treated for t4/t3 combo. The doctor is surprised looking at me because he would never guess my T levels. I am 5'8 147 lbs sitting around 8-10% BF. My question is, is there any thing that I can take that could just give me somewhat of a boost in my levels (Tribulus, DAA, Tongot Ali, etc.)? Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

Need to see bloods.

LH level 1.8 mIU/mL
Testosterone, Totale 133 ng/dL
thought I add my reverse t3 result
T3 reverse 341 (ref range 90 to 350)
My other thyroid labs are good except my T4 is still low, this is do (so my endo says) that I am mainly being treated with T3)

you can increase test by lifting heavy compound movements.. bench, squat, deads, etc. some guys think that eating grassfed beef and chicken/fish can increase it too, but that is up in the air. also things like soy/sushi etc. can lower test levels some people believe (me included) ever see what guys that eat sushi look like?

in the end if you do have something wrong with your HPTA you would be a candidate for HRT.. it sucks but you might have to be on the rest of your life.

also playing devils advocate there are guys who have high test levels who have their own issues, so having your test levels up doesn't necessarily mean you are cured from any problems you are experiencing. so i would exhaust every remedy first. and try to delay HRT as long as possible with the help of what i wrote above + natty supplements

good luck

Ur lh is low.

Get some hcgenerate, zinc, magnesium, good multi vit.
I would also add in some forskillin and white bean extract will boost motab which will natty raise t3.

Do what stevesmi said also

Monosaturated fats are suppose to be amongs the highest to produce test dont go balls out on fats!!! Keep fats at 30-40% you can get that fat from all natty pb, tortilla chips, pistachios, cheese and other sources.

Grassfeed beef would be the best meat imo bc it has zinc, b12 and saturated fat which promote test (agian dont go over 20g of sat. fat as it is bad for the heart but u do need some. I try to keep mine to 10g)

Protien ups test
Good fats from stuff like nuts. pistachios!!!! Has mono and aslo lutin which is great for other things.
Aminos
Vit a, b, e
Fish or krill!!! Fatty acids big!!!

I think the main thing its your nuts are not producing you really need a full panel wheres ur fsh at ur free test, shbg???

Are you on medication? Hbp?

I have been adding fats, taking fish oil. I take a multi-vitamin, 25mcg levoxyl(t4), 37.5 cytomel (t3), and 450mg of wellbutrin. I don't shy away from fats believe me anything from coconut oil to almond butter I am on it. I eat beef, I have even been eating beef liver to see if that will help. Has anyone had experience with DHEA? I have nothing against HRT other then the fact I don't wanna be on it the rest of my life.

And what exactly is unleashed?

Unleashed is a natty supp to boost free test which is most important it lowers shbg by doing that it produces more. If ur lh and fsh is fine ur good!!

Id recomend hcgerneate for two weeks maybe some adex or liquid stane but i dont know where ur estrogen is at. Wo bloods its hard to direct u.

Dont do hrt!!! Dont need it if ur lh was 1 or below id be worried

Zinc and magnesium does nothing to boost testosterone. That was started by Victor COnte 20 years ago. (I actually exposed the scam). Get with the times.

Forskolin also DOES NOT raise testosterone.

White Bean extract works to slow down the absorption of carbs. It's great to losing weight, but it does not do so by boosting metabolism.

It's great that you want to help but it seems like your advice is coming from misleading supplement ads.

The best natty T booster -- UNLEASHED. Nothing comes close.

Alright cool I am looking into unleashed. I am also due to get in MRI they are thinking it might be something with the pituitary gland. If I do pick up some Unleashed can I expect my actual Test levels to go up, or just feel the effects of having higher test? Also any sides?

Both and no sides bro. It will raise your free test which is what you want as well.

D-AA and HCGenerate would yield great results, i'm in the normal range and i even saw a very nice boost in performance inside the gym and libido/confidence wise.

I see what your saying but not all true. Zinc can lower estrogen which can form more test but why take zinc?? Just take some adex or aromasin but if one wants natty supps this is a way to do so.

Forskolin no it boost motab and motabolises fats cells

Proponents claim that white bean extract can prevent alpha-amylase (an enzyme that occurs naturally in the body) from breaking down carbohydrates into glucose (sugar). By slowing up alpha-amylase activity, proponents suggest, white bean extract leaves behind less glucose for the body to turn into fat.

White bean extract is widely marketed as a weight loss aid. The product is also purported to prevent obesity and reduce abdominal fat.

Not only touted as a natural weight loss aid, white bean extract is said to keep blood sugar in check, fight insulin resistance, protect against diabetes and heart disease, enhance athletic performance, increase energy, ease symptoms of arthritis, and aid in the prevention of colon cancer.

More for weight loss huh? But if its not taking all your energy to digest carbs and starches that would boost motab in a sense you think? An imo anything that promotes energy boost motab so those are just my thoughts.

Whats your take?

You just said the same thing he said about white bean extract but in greater detail - it slows down the absorption or carbs, like you said, by inhibiting the mechanism of alph-amylase.

Anyway, along with whats already been said, I would make sure that you include lots of full body heavy weight exercises in your weight routine. Even if it is only 30% of your total routine, filling that 30% with things like heavy back squats, heavy front squats, heavy power cleans, snatches, etc will help boost natural test very nicely.

Not to mention I think you will see a difference in your boxing as well - when I'm lifting like that, my MMA strength takes a turn for the better.

i had the same problem to a lesser extent. I would say the products stated are good. I took them to bring me back to healthy ranges. I like taking cordyceps cause they boost lh and in turn testosterone and you can take them year round. I found that endurance training lowerd my test levels so i switched from long slow runs to intervals and my endurance actually went up.

Aside from all the suggestions that are given here whichever are very good. You do need to get to the source of the problem. I myself was in the same exact situation as you. My test was a 27 ngdl. I found out a I a pituitary tumor that shut down my Endo system. I am now on TRT for life. GET an MRI. The tumor was found before it spread luckily. Getting supliments to kick start you is not the way to go. Find the problem first. As the real issue my be more serious.

Great!!! this is what i would do!!!

Great advice. Treating the symptoms doesn't work unless the problem is gone.

So if your low test is the problem and not just the symptoms, what people are suggesting is fine. If its the symptom and not the problem, you aren't solving anything

All true. All good. But it has little to do with test levels, which is what I thought we were talking about. As for lowering estrogen as a means of raising test, that's not really true . (Though I know a lot of "gurus" were claiming that about 10 years ago or so and some people still believe it). You can have zero estrogen and still have low test. I recommend for the OP to keep it simple -- UNLEASHED and BRIDGE. ANd as you said, get a blood test to what the next step would be.

esteve, what symptoms do you have that you are trying to correct? It sounds like you are in shape with low body fat. Do you have any problems associated with low T?
