Hello, I am a 39 year old mother of two.

I have finally lost most all of the baby fat I put on from being pregnant (started at 185 and currently weigh 108) and now need to tone and firm, so I have come here to get advice and support to build some muscle and lose those last pesky 5 lbs!!

The main areas in dire need of help are my lower stomach because I had a c-section and my outer thighs. Any tips and suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
PJ

well plain how about some idea of what you have done to get those great results so far. Excellent job!!! Cardio? How long, how much, diet? what? Just trying to help.

I walk on my treadmill for 30 mins a day and then take my son for a stroll (about 2 miles) every evening. So about an hour a day of brisk walking. When I hit plateaus I would do a run a min/ jog a min routine on the treadmill.

I was doing approx 200 crunches along with leglifts everyday but have gotten lazy and not done those in a month or so.

As for diet, low salt, low fat when I do eat. I snack through the day on low cal stuff like carrots, celery, saltine crackers etc. and then eat dinner, usually a carb (like pasta or potatoes, no bread), meat (white), and spinach salad. For beverages, coffee or tea, no soda and of course water.

Also I have taken different diet pills, but my favorite is Hydroxydrine. Its a combo between Hydroxycut and Xendrine.
I get all my supplements at: http://www.musclesurf.com/

Most importantly I am sure to take a multi-vitamin supplement, and plenty of calcium!

The body is a very smart amchine and if you continue on the same pattern, the body will learn how to adapt to that pattern and your gains will come slower if not stop all together. Doing the run/walk interval training is a good idea and can be used to bump you over those sticky spots. Just don't go back to what you were doing. Mix it up all the time easy, moderate hard, it doesn't have to be everyday a different speed or intensitiy but mix it up frequently to get the best results.
The same goes for your diet. Try cycling your carb intake up and down and incorporate more protein. Eat many small meals throughout the day and pack bars if your might be going out or to work. This way you will always have a good source of food and not just drive thrus and vending machines.
Also try to add some weight training to your workouts. The more muscle you have the more calories you burn. High reps will equal toning instead of building.
I hope this helps a little.

OK, this may be the first time I ever said this to a woman. You need to put on some weight. You are too thin in the face and collar bone area. If you want to "tone", you have to build muscle= Train with weights. You will also have to increase your protein intake. Your body is holding on to that little bit of fat at the hips because it is hungry!

I agree, you look great the way you are now. But you are a little on the thin side, just start working out with weigths and put on some muscle, you'll be friggin hot

First off I have to say, you've got a good looking webpage, second I have to agree with those above who say that you should maybe think about putting on some more lean muscle. You do look great though. Great job on getting where you are today!!
