Hello Again from Ft Gordon...

Well a week into this place and I already have Cable TV in my room, Getting closer to maxing out my PT test (Depending on how much credit for my pushups and situps I was given) Have a Gameboy Advance, 6 games, And plenty of chances to get out and about around the base...

My 1st Electronics class could have been taught by simply buying a Childs electronic testing kit from Radio Shack so It makes me wonder how much money that instructor is really making....Overall I'm getting a bit bored...there aren't as many women in my class as in most other classes so playtime is basically not happening till we can get off base in about 3-4 weeks....


Any of the Ft Gordon Alum know of a good place to get a Tattoo???I've got some ink work I'm wanting to get done and looking for a good place around Augusta to go to.

Also anyone in the Atlanta/surounding area know of some good places to go out cause I'm going to be ready to have some fun once I leave. I'm probably going to buy a laptop in 2 weeks after I get paid again, and hopefully will Find a cell phone with plenty of minutes so I can get online from my room instead of walking up here...

There are a couple places on Broad street that do a pretty good job. I'm not sure of the names off hand. They are in the down town area, not out by the fort.

If you think it's bad there, you should spend some time on an Air Force base. Fat, long hair, messy uniforms, no military bearing, NCO's and officers alike. Sure there has to be some lee way, but the stuff I saw was just sad.

Ahem! There is plenty of professionlism in the Army outside of the Infantry. Remember, artillery lends dignity to what would otherwise be an undignified brawl.

As far as the tattoo is concerned, I would highly recommend that you do not get one. Don't fall into the new soldier trap, and do something that you will regret the rest of your life, like getting "killer" or "airborne till I die" tattoed on your arm.

Go to the gym instead.

I just recommend you think hard about it and don't rush. Right now it's just you but someday it will be the wife, the kids, the mother in law, the dog, the pastor, the neighbors, the boss, etc.
