I'll provide the article first, which proves absolutely nothing, except that the media are garbage. After that, is my email I just sent to this piece of trash. Enjoy!

Did heavy metal turn Calif. kid into terrorist?
By Eric Heyl
TRIBUNE-REVIEW
Friday, May 28, 2004

If only he hadn't cranked the Ozzy Osbourne.

If only Adam Gadahn hadn't played air guitar while listening to the likes of Metallica, Motorhead or Motley Crue, he undoubtedly would not be the subject of a worldwide manhunt today.

Gadahn, 25, was one of seven people federal authorities identified Wednesday as suspected terrorists. The only American on the list, Gadahn is thought to be an al-Qaida operative.

For those wondering how a presumably nice young man from California would end up attending al-Qaida training camps in Afghanistan and serving as a translator for the terrorist scourges, I have but two words for you:

Heavy metal.

Over the years, the musical genre's aggressive rhythms, distorted guitars and dark lyrical content have been conclusively proven to be solely responsible for a host of societal ills. Just ask the many organizations that have blamed heavy metal for murder, suicide, depression, drug abuse, date rape, flat beer, clogged lint traps, bad hair days and tumor growth in select laboratory rats.

You can bet such groups are going to add terrorism to that lengthy list when they discover Gadahn's autobiographical musings, which are posted on a number of Internet sites.

"I had become obsessed with demonic heavy metal music, something the rest of my family was not happy with," he wrote. "My entire life was focused on expanding my music collection. I eschewed personal cleanliness and let my room reach an unbelievable state of disarray. My relationship with my parents became strained, although only intermittently so."

Gadahn began listening to heavy metal. Soon thereafter, he wasn't bathing regularly, keeping his room tidy or being nice to his parents.

See how these things can snowball? Start down such a precarious path and before you know it, you're a religious zealot renouncing your country and listening to Pantera reverb off the walls of bin Laden's latest cave.

Some people insist heavy metal and its popular practitioners are harmless. They contend it's absurd to blame a particular musical styling for some of life's negative aspects.

Even obvious evidence to the contrary in the form of Gadahn's own writing is unlikely to persuade them otherwise. Heavy metal apologists are either unwilling or unable to see that Osbourne and his ilk have claimed another victim. It's a Gadahn shame.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand my response to Mr. Heyl:

It's fucking people like you that are going to turn this country to shit. Well, more so than it already is. Now, don't get me wrong. The USA is a wonderful place to live. However, living among ignorant, intolerable pieces of shit like yourself really gets on my nerves sometimes.

Why is it that no one can take the blame anymore? Everywhere I look, everyone is quick to point the finger at someone else. If you're fat, point the finger at McDonalds. If you've got cancer, blame Philip Morris. And, of course, if you're a terrorist, blame it on music.

Please allow me a few minutes to hold back my near-uncontrollable laughter at this point.

Okay. I'm good.

The ignorance of the human people species ceases to amaze me. People like you, man. You make me ashamed to be a citizen of this country. People like you. You are all going to turn this country into shit. You, sir, are no different than the unfathomably idiotic parents of the two morons who shot up Columbine. Why, you ask? Well, if you'll remember, they threw the blame on everyone. Music, gun manufacturers, the NRA, et cetera. Not once did they go, "You know what, maybe it was our fault for NOT PAYING THE FUCK ATTENTION TO OUR OWN KIDS." Jesus Christ. I could spend a lot more time in this email, referring to countless other examples of people like yourself, but I figure, why waste my time? I've seen in the past what happens when you try to confront someone like you. It will just turn into a pissing match, because people like you are so fucking in denial, it's not even funny.

Okay. I think I'm through here.

Have a good one, Mr. Heyl. Maybe one day you, and the rest of the media will open up your minds and stop feeding bullshit to the American people.

Until then, fuck you.

Sincerely,
From Zero.

Just in case that wasn't a joke, a copy of my e-mail to him....

I don't know man, when I was younger, t.v definitely influenced me. I remember watching Mr. T in 'Rocky' saying, "Dead Meat" to Rocky. I thought that sounded very tough and cool, so I tried that line on another person to scare the shit out of them. lol
I had a friend that idolized Sylvester Stallone so much, that he was always trying to emulate his look and mannerisms.
