heart burn and acid reflux.. what do they feel like?

last week, for an entire week.. it felt like i had a HUGE air bubble behind my sternum... every swallow (insert joke here), every gulp, every gasp... hurt like fuck..

but i had very little if any "sour mouth"...

and then, the feeling moved towards my heart and now it's gone...

Sounds like flatulence... you had a gas bubble trapped more than likely... it can cause quite a scare actually depending on where it gets trapped at in the body. People make fun of it.... but it does suck to have.

"Sour mouth" (the stomach acids actually backing up far enough as to enter the mouth) though common, is not always a symptom of acid reflux.

Sometimes, yes what you described is all you will feel when experiencing reflux. Sometimes you will only feel a very severe pain in your chest. It is a very common occurance for people to come to the emergency rooms with chest pains only to be sent home after being checked out to learn that it is not their heart at all, but reflux.

Have this checked out to be sure.

I know far too much about this topic. I believe that Pigeon Rat is also a sufferer.

What else would you like to know?

acid reflex feels like you swallowed food or drink with sand and glass shards in every bite.

I have very little heartburn for the most part...but I get a stabbing pain right under my ribcage that can last for days. I also find that I burp a ton if I am having problems

heartburn can feel like anything from a slight discomfort, barely describable along the whole oesophagus, to a localised, stabbing/burning sensation along only one side (left or right) or even on just one spot on the oesophagus.

what youre describing sounds like something else to be honest, or at least, it is not typical. have a chat to your doctor next time
