Headin' to the Doctor

Hey guys, question...I'm heading to my doctor pretty soon for a regular check up and I also wanted to get some bloodwork done (I'm now through with PCT) just to make sure everything is in check. What tests do you ask for and how can I do this without revealing the reason why I want it done? I basically just want to check my free test levels and see if everything rebounded OK. My boys aren't hangin' as low as normal and it makes me kind of suspicious (i.e. did I do something wrong in PCT?, did it just not work the way it should've?, or is this just the damage that is done?).

By the way my PCT consisted of a three week regimend of PF Post Cycle, Unleashed, Clomid in the ususal dosage, a-dex and I ran HCG 1 x week throughout the cycle. Cycle was pretty basic and short, 6weeks- 500mg enath/wk with 25mg dbol/day for 4wks.

Any info is much appreciated.

I just went last week to have bloodwork done, he told me that insurance would not cover it unless there was some legit medical reason for me being there, otherwise it was gonna cost $180 to have free bound test and prolactin levels checked, I passed on it since I've been off for 5 months. If you do better, please let us know...

I can't imagine any docs really going ahead with such tests unless you tell them you have low-sex drive and feel tired and depressed a lot. I'd like to get such tests done, but I doubt my insurance would cover it. Can't hurt to ask though. Let us know the cost if you get it done.

I get my blood test done every 5 months when I go back to Canada. The American health system is the most horrible system I have ever used. Costs $150USD for a testosterone check, and then 8 weeks of waiting for the garbage. When I goto Canada, it's free and takes 2 days to get results.

Thanks for the input. I really don't care about my insurance covering the cost, even though $150-$200 is what it is, its worth it to me to find out if my system is in check. I just don't know how to tell my doctor this is what I want to be tested for whithout him saying "why the hell?" I'll post the results when i get my work done. Thanks again

By the way, THANKS for the link Liquid. This is the answer to avoiding the confusing question of why I'm getting this stuff done. AND there is a Quest Diagnostic loc. in the same area as my doctor. SWEEET. By the way DRJMW, do these guys require an appt or can you just walk in and select the test you want run? Thanks
