Hi i have been getting severe head aches after i work up a sweat and get my blood flowing. is this common?

HELP i have been going to a gym for about 3 months and have never had any health problems. But i recently have been getting massive headaches when i work out. It all started when, i went to the gym on a monday, i started like i always do with the bench press i was up to my 8th reputition when all of a suddan i felt this massive pain in my head i imediately stopped and had a 5 minute rest... the pain was still there! i continued anyway onto my 2nd set every rep i did the pain got worst till eventually i stopped and went home and took a few days off. I went back on thursday and started on the hack squat, the same thing happened again the same massive head pain.

What is going on? do i have a brain tuma or soemthing? a blood clock? it seems whenever i get a sweat going and my blood starts rushing thats when the pain starts... and its there for hours after, can you help me?

brain tuma.....bloodclock :FRlol:....I'm sorry bro but that's to funny.....seriously though I would go see a physician

i thought it was arnold posting there for a second :D

Could also be blood pressure, stress, go see the dr..

check your breathing, if you are not breathing properly it can cause a lack of blood to the brain leading to headaches and such

Is it in the back of your head? I had this when I used steriods and my strengh went up quick I got bad head aches from my body not being able to handle the weight increase.

You beat me to it bro, I think that your holding your breath for to long during a set. Brain tuna's and blood clocks useually cause problems at times other than just when working out. Correct breathing and see if this helps.

Dude if it was a tumer and you were feeling it as severly as you think you are you would be dead by now. Trust me I know how this stuff works.

I would agree with the others in that it is probably something to do with blood pressure or the like. If I were you I would see a doc and have some tests run.

I have to say it. It's not a tuma. Everyone knows someone was going to say it, so I did. Go see a doctor. Do you really want to risk something as serious as a brain tumor on the advice you got from some bodybuilders on the internet? Most of us aren't brain surgeons
