he wont give me a straight answer- help!

i asked this guy ive known for awhile but never met in an email if he has a girlfriend and he replied back but NO answer to the girlfiend question.

so Im thinking its either one of 2 cases-

A) he has a GF but dosent want to admit it becuase he thinks i would blow him off or

B) he doesnt have a GF but doesnt want to admit it cause he only wants to be "friends" & not get my hopes up of ever dating him.

so any other scenarios? im really confused & dont know what to do.

There's somebody else whose status he's unsure of. He's delaying the answer until he has a better idea.

i think you guys nailed it that he has a GF (or something like that in the works) but chickenshit to tell me. hes very goodlooking/ player type so Im sorta in lust & not thinkg real clearly, but I still want to keep emailing him! :worried:

His lack of reply shows the type person he is and what you can expect in future scenearios.

Or just as likely he is playing with you. There is no good answer to that question. If he says no hes a loser. If he says yes hes taken. Doesnt say anything and he has you obsessing over it like you are now, which only makes you want him the more:)

Even if he doesn't have a girlfriend, he is clearly manipulating the situation to remain in secrecy about it. Maybe he has "several" potential girlfriends and is waiting to see which one will be the "blessed one". Whatever. It will suck to be her in the future. In any case, don't reduce yourself to being a pawn in any silly little game he may be playing. If he is not mature enough to come out and tell the truth about something like this, he is not mature enough for the important things that matter.

why is he a loser if he says no? Wouldnt that keep my interest level up vs. his not responding at all?

If he tells you no girl, you wonder why? Is there something wrong with him. Do other women not find him attractive?

Women, unlike men, want what other women want and have.

By not responding, he has you sweating the answer, and thinking about him the more. Your becoming emotionally invested without even intending to

This is exactly right. Anytime a woman asks a man if he has a girlfriend, the correct nice-guy answer is ALWAYS, regardless of what your actual dating status is:

"I am seeing a few girls, but nothing serious yet."

This makes you available while at the same time making you appear to have something that women find desirable. Now, if you are in a serious relationship or married then morally you should admit it, but alot of guys will still use the above answer.

What he did to you was simply ignore the question to make you obsess over it. That is also a common response, but shows that he is a player and manipulative. Don't think it was an oversight, he knows what he is doing.
 
I would say he has a girlfriend by the way you discribed him. Maybe it is not serious and he would rather be with you....but he has one

Probably has a GF and doesn't want you to know that, but hasn't come up with an answer he likes yet.

Solution: Get plane ticket to Denver, enjoy great scenery, lift with one large man in kilt, forget about guy and go home happy. ;)

Look at it this way. You're smart, beautiful, and you deadlift. The loss is all his if he doesn't recognize what he's missing out on.

Then keep working on it...if you just want to get laid, who cares if he has a GF? Him cheating is HER problem, NOT YOURS.:)

anyway- turns out he does have a GF :(

but i still send him happy bday emails because im a hopeless romantic..:heart:
