HCG can it cause gyno?

I heard that usung HCG after a cycle can cause gyno. is this true? And would you recommend HCG over clomid?

Remember that gynocomastia is a side effect which results from the aromatization of supraphysiological quantities of an androgenic hormone (testosterone) into estradiol. Please don't confuse gyno with stored adipose tissue along the pectorals of some fat ass.

Remember HCG is not to be used as a means of restoring hypophysis function. It is used to mimic LH, thus taking supressed endogenous testosterone to (temporary) physiological levels. Optimally HCG should be used in conjunction with clomid.

No, it wont give you gyno. :)

PEACE

im gonna quote nimrods post on clomid and hcg on this one:

"HCG: This does nothing with regard to inhibition of the hypothalamus and pituitary. Rather it acts like LH, and causes the testicles to produce testosterone just as if LH were present. It is useful then for avoiding testicular atrophy during the cycle. The best dosing method is to use small amounts frequently: 500 IU per day is sufficient, and 1000 IU may optionally be used. The amount may be given as a single daily dose or divided into two doses. Administration may be intramuscular or subcutaneous. More is not better: too much HCG can result in downregulation of the LH receptors in the testes, and is therefore counterproductive. Overdosing of HCG can also result in gynecomastia." nimrod

well there yah go. yes it can.

Nimrod 25 started a post called Let's clarify clomid vs HCG.
In that post he gois on to say that an overdose of hcg can cause gyno.

Guys,

HCG is meant to be used on cycle to directly stimulate LH and prevent testicle atrophy. If used post cycle it can cause higher estradiol levels, in an environment of hormonal unbalance as it is, thus causing gyno.

Well, assuming your not jacking 5000 IU ED you shouldnt have to worry about increasing aromatase activity within the leydig cells of the testies.

I honestly havnt been informed of any studies that can clearly quantify doses that could lead to "potential" gynocomastia. Obviously, I hope, no one is going to be inclined to run HCG for longer than 1-2 weeks. Using it any longer than this can lead to hindered hormonal homeostasis.

2000--3000 IU has been my standard dose administered once every 3 days for one week.

With all the recent posts about clomid and HCG I'm starting to get a little confused. Ok, here's what I was planning to do at the end of my cycle of test and eq:
one week after last injection- 2500 i.u.'s HCG
5 days later- 2500 i.u.'s HCG
one week after that- 100mg of clomid ed/week
that next week- 50mg of clomid ed/week

How does that sound or what do I need to change?
