HCG and Prostate issues

GrumpyOldMan

My Prostate has been bugging me off and on for a few weeks, but not usually for more than a day at a time. It got so bad one day last week (pissing every ten minutes, not emptying, dribbling, urgency) that I felt like I had a grapefruit between my legs. So I got my ass over to the walk-in to tell my story and get the usual DRE. (Finger) She tells me she thinks it's Prostatitis (had it before) and not BPH. In the past a few days of Cipro has always cleared me up, but the symptoms are not the same this time, no sweating and no lower back pain.

So she prescribes Cipro anyway and orders a Rectal UltraSound (new one on me) which seems pretty thorough, the Urologist or previous quack never suggested it. Surprised she did not order a PSA which I did not push at the moment for obvious reasons. It's always been very good in the past.

Anyway, I seemed to have noticed a correlation between my HCG injections (500 twice a week) and my Prostate flare ups. Not surprising I guess, but I wondered if anyone else has noticed this? I plan to lay off the HCG for a while to see what happens.

TIA

500 is overkill if you ask me, 250IU at a crack is all ya need.

Thanks,

I do notice the difference between 250 and 500 though.

Things seem better this week, but I did skip my mid week dose HCG. More sex seems to help too.

Could the DECA be contributing to this? I did not think so, since it's not androgenic.

Update:HCG and Prostate issues

Got prescribed some alfuzosin today for this after having the PeckerScope done. Apparently the bladder is not emptying properly. No physical issues of note apparently though?

HCG a polypeptide hormone produced by the human placenta, is composed of an alpha and a beta sub-unit. The alpha sub-unit is essentially identical to the alpha sub units of the human pituitary gonadotropins, LH, FSH, and TSH. The beta sub units of these hormones differ in amino acid sequence.

Based on that statement my guess is HCG contains both alpha and beta sub-units as does the hormones from the pituitary. The alpha sub unit of HCG is virtually identical to the alpha sub unit of LH, FSH and TSH. But the beta subunit is not. So we take both alpha a beta but only the alpha is active. Am I interpreting that right?

500 iu twice per week is too much, u may be better with 250 iu each time only, u know HCG can greatly induce a spike of estrogens in a short time which in turn enlarge ur prostates and make it difficult for u to pee, i know cuz this is what happens with me when i'm on high amounts of aromatizable steroids or on high amounts of hcg (which i use to do in the past when trying to recover from cycles, but not anymore). u may add an AI when shooting hcg or increase it a bit if ur already on to minimize estro production during that time.
