HCG and measuring IU's in a normal needle

OK a friend of mine is going to start up HCG now in the middle of his cycle. The thing is, he doesnt have an insulin needle so doesn't know how to measure out IU's in a normal needle.

Does anyone know exactly if theres a way to calculate?

The easiest way if its a 2 part agent is to monitor how much water is with the kit. If its 1ml and your mixing it with a vial of powder thats 15IU then you know that 1cc=15IU and you can further break it down from there. The biggest problem is it can be very difficult to accuratly measure without a slin pin.

What HCG does he have?

Pregnyl 5000 IU amps and 1500 IU amps mix up to "about" 1 ml mixed...

So for say 1000 IU out of a 5000 IU amp you would use .2 ml mixed...
Its kind of hard to get those small doses in a regular pin (as opposed to slin pins anyway...)

Yes they are the pregnyl 1amp=5000 iu's.

He knows how to mix it up with the bac water, and to keep it frigerated, but he keeps eharing conflicint reports on how much to use. This is mid cycle..So how much do you guys recommend for him per shot and how often to do the shots?

Oh and since theres 7 lines on the IM syringe up to the 1 CC mark, about how many lines would you say would = this recommended dosage?
