Finally a segment that is pro-steroids instead of, "little Jimmy killing himself b/c of juice". If you guys haven't seen it yet you should. It's about time.

The show was on last week and definitely worth watching.


They quoted Lyle Alzado's doc with saying how gear was not responsible for his death. They also showed test results indicating gear will not do any harm other than severe acne. I did not hear them mention any particular dosage though.
 
Just saw a re-air of that Real Sports episode, finally a view on the other side that people will see and hear. Also it will be on again today, Monday 6/27 at 5pm on regular HBO.

Definitely worth watching, great segment! John Ramano writer with MD magazine definitely represents and is an example of someone who responsibly uses juice to enhance his pyshique. :rolleyes:

it was great the way briant gumble and the guy who reported the story had totally different opinions about roids after they did the investigation. they did however make clear that the report was on healthy males and that they did not think roids were ok for kids and woman. works for me....
 
bonkme2 that would be fucking awesome. I don't have HBO either and would really like to see this. K too yea for doing it and more when you get it up.

everyone here needs to see this episode, i was amazed sitting at home thinkin someone should do a non-opinionated peice on AS, then low and behold this comes on its very informative and refreshing seeing somethin like this . i'm goin to check it out again but cant tape it cuz no vcr. this has made me a fan of real sports just for the fact that they say f*ck the general idea that the media and everyone else displays about AS , and they have the balls to give a non-bais opinion about the issue thank you

That's nice, but I don't need HBO or any other asshole's approval to do something that my own knowledge after extensive reading is telling me is not dangerous (when done right).
If you go to extreme, no matter what you are doing, it wouldn't be safe.
 
I recorded it... this is an indespensible educational tool for wives, girlfiriends or anyone else who needs to be educated.

That would be awsome bro, some of us can't get HBO where we are at and this is a must see for anyone who is pro steroids. Does anyone think that this will be available on DVD like some shows/specials? I don't know if HBO does that like some other broadcasters.
 
Wow that almost brought a tear to my eye at the end where even the reporter admitted that all the years he reported on the negative effects of steroids, it was BS. Very very good reporting done by HBO.

Good segment it's about time there was something good about steriods put in front of the public and that old man was fucking swole i hope i look that good when i'm 70

Dial tone, you have to download that codec file. It takes like 2 secs. You cant uninstall if after you are done if you want.

i watched it and believe me, it changed my wifes view on juice. before she thought they were completely bad for you. now she realizes that if you do it right you will be fine. we need more prominant people to fight to get the law changed. people are going to jail for what, for making their body better. bunch of idiots we have in office.
 
Yeah, let an anti-steroid type watch that, once that 70 year lod guy comes on it is kind of hard to argue that steroids are bad. That guy was in better shape than most teenagers. If you don't want to do roids that is reason enough to give them a try. I was suprised to learn that the DEA and a few other agencies all were OPPOSED to making them ILLEGAL. WTF, why the hell were they still banned?

I owe that 70-year-old guy; a hero to be supported.

it could have been better. i would have liked to seen a stronger message towards females and those still going - they mentioned growth plates in just one sentance; i would have prefered them to say "But if you're still growing steroids will stop you growing". (When making a case for something it's often good to make a concession and argue the oth side as well rather than being one sided)

I would also like to have seen some very basic warnings such as addictiveness/coming off, gyno, natural test shutdown and safety in general.

The anti doc's recommendation on the show that basically says "medicine is for the sick" is understandable but out of date. This reminds me of my company's holding back of technical information when people are going to open up their computers - you just have to work with your `customers`, not fight against them and it's the same here - support where you can.

Not only are we proactive as well as reactive to illness, people now readily accept the idea of using all sorts of drug in aiding adaptation to a situation:

- Viagra
- Nootropics
- ProPlus
(so many more like this)
- Coffee on monday mornings
- Paracetomol? (because I find it's not needed for headaches - dehydration, sleep and nice food fixes. However, this isn't always possible)

I'll certainly keep a copy of this around for when anybody starts to lecture me.

great short show on it. i recorded it and watched some today and finished it a little while ago. i wish it was longer. Romano did a great job talking about it. it was nice to see the 70 year old stickin himself, lol
 
well that bs episode of hbo real sports helped fvck us all and got our fvcking vets and labs closed in tj!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(
