Here's the thing though bro... I personally don't have a problem with mods in general. Hell, I AM one on another site. I don't have an issue with mods ENFORCING THE RULES OF THE BOARD. But I have read this boards' rules, and I don't see what was violated by that thread, which is why I'm questioning it. I have no problem with George S. or anyone else for that matter, well except maybe for that douchebag cosmokramer, and I always respect the rules of the board, but I don't see how Kayne's posting lines from a movie WRITTEN BY A BLACK PERSON could be remotely racist, and thus violating the board rules. If he's just doing it based on his own personal feelings, and not to enforce board policy, the he shouldn't be a mod...

However, instead of locking the whole thread, why not just delete the posts of people who are assholes??? Why lock a perfectly innocent thread???

Thats a thoughtful idea, however, alot of deleting/editing would be going on as long as that thread was open, mods don't want to edit and delete all day, one simple action can save all of that business. peace

I tried this route on several threads and people were just as abusive about having their post edited, etc. So I've adopted what I call "The Nuclear Option" appraoch. Saves me time, effort, bitching from 20 people and keeps things consolidated in one nice "FU MODS" thread.

I must agree with Havoc on this one, to many times I have tried to just delete a post, or edit it and leave the thread intact....it eventually turns into a delete and edit game for as long as the thread is open....

I didn't see or read this thread yet, but most of the time it is far easier to lock the thread and hope we don't get a backlash from the members....Hasn't worked yet.

Just my opinion though.....
