yep, I just did
not worth the extra 5k for all the stress that comes with it

damn i hate the way companies work...."here good man, work 50% more for us and I will reward you with 5K"

lemming shysters.

Yeah this time last year... no way was I going to take on those responsibilities. God I was a dumbass for not doing it. It would have looked really good for my resume.

I got a HUGE raise at my last job when I was promoted, but it burned me out in a year. I can't imagine $415 per month would be worth much stress.

yes sir
the only thing that is making me feel a little regret is the company car option
i have one now but i pay for it...if i took the promo it would be completely free

A car you didn't pick out isn't worth not liking your job.

Good for you, dude. But it is a tough decision sometimes.

My wife just passed up a promotion with an increase of $1500-$2500. pfft. A whole lot of resposiblities and more time at work, evenings etc... pffft. BUT.... Now she's "stuck" at the payscale she's in because she topped out and the new position would have been towards the bottom to middle with room to grow.

Sometimes one needs to step back and look at the picture in a 2 year time frame or more or less... and see where you would be at that point.

Are you now in a "dead end" job?

Tougher decision than meets the eye.

This is why I work for less money with less stress. I saw what it did to my dad. I believe in a low stress, simple lifestyle.

not a dead end job by any stretch
lots of opportunity
but i'm not planning on being here that much longer
have sent the feelers out for new opportunites
i don't want to fuck the company over by having them train me
and then bouncing
doesn't seem like the respectable thing to do

not necessarily more work just more responsibility.
I like that to.if I did not have responsibilities I prob would not even show up to work.lol as it is I hardly show my face now.place pretty much runs its self unless
I have a huge function or orders to fill.I fill in shifts when people call in but I have such a dame good crew it all most never happens.come summer time I will
be working my ass of though.its winter now so every thing is slow and there is not much I have to do.

is it pretty much guaranteed that if you want to make a lot of money your life is going to be stressful?
how many upper management positions are there, where the work isnt much harder?
