Plyometrics are the best. Explosive, aerobic and anaerobic. Best overall condition of my life, endurance and strength/weight ratio, was from a ballet class in college (my ex-military/jock counselor probably thought I was gay, screw him). I made this one up, try it:

Squat and explode upwards. After you've left the ground quickly pull your knees to your chest and then reextend in time to meet the ground as softly as you can and smoothly decelerate. You use your arms for balance and assist. Do one at a time at first and then go for reps.

You will be breathing hard bro and this will get ripped and strong. It'll make your butt stand up as well, the women just love that.

when do you work these workouts into your regimen? would u do these explosive squats before ur original leg workout?

You want to do your heavy lifting first.

I should say there's no hard and fast rule but there's more of an adverse relationship the other way. If you want to prioritize you could start light as a warm up to your normal workout and then do the more extreme stuff.

Mostly you do plyometrics on cardio days or maybe a few sets on days off. But, if you don't mind people looking at you, they can be injected in the middle of a work-out to jack the intensity--can't really do wind-sprints in the gym now can we.

If you're doing heavy legs though, you only do 'explosive squats' to finish a warm-up, if that.

One thing that helped me along the same lines that I think you're looking to go is to learn how to do a clean. You get a lot of the same benifit that you would from a deadlift, but since its more of a lighter, faster movement, you reap the rewards of a plyometric type movement.

2nd that. What percentage of your deadlift can you clean?

Deadlift percentage... hmm. I bet probably around 50%. I'm weak though... or my deadlift is massive? I'll let you draw your own conclusions :)
