Has anyone SHROOMED before????

I'm thinking of shrooming for the first time. Can anyone(who has done it) let me know what to expect.
 
first off,dont do it,ive done alot of drugs and i wish i could go back and not do it
but since u probably will anyway,every trip is different but it is a hallucinagen ,you should see weird shit and feel fucked
 
All aspects of your senses are heighten. Avoid authority figures, try to remain with trusted friends or others who have shroomed before. Video games can be really cool. Listen to The Doors or Pink Floyd, my personal recommendation. I also like being out in Nature, very peaceful. I like to ease back into reality by getting drunk at the end of the trip. Takes the edge off. Don't look at yourself in a mirror, too weird. Remeber, it's only a drug, and it will end. Good luck!
 
Shrooms can be fun

You get a feeling of like an intellectual high. You can see thru and understand everything. You feel like having fun. Low dose and a little alcohol and can be a pleasant experience. Personally have not gone much above one gram. No hangover to speak of.
 
I have a couple times.

Make sure to get good shrooms, no authority figures as mentioned, your eyeballs will definitely give you away, chill out, enjoy yourself, make sure you have a good 6 hours or more...

Great advice... I can tell you've been "there" before. :D Definately stay out of areas where lots of people you don't know will be, you could get all paranoid and go on a bad trip. Buy a bacon cheese burger and put the mushrooms on that and eat it, tastes much better that way.:D Smoke weed if you got it, but wait for about and hour after you take the shrooms, it adds a whole new dimension to the ride. I've taken many different types of shrooms and the one thing they all had in common was a real good body fry, only about half gave me decent visuals. One of the best shroom trips I ever had was sitting in my car with the seat laid all the way back and using a laser pointer to make patterns on the ceiling while CRANKING all kinds of Floyd and Zepplin.... I had an awesome sound system and the bass from the 3 12's would trip me out hard as fuck!! I would just close my eyes every few minutes and let the music carry me away..... good times.

I woudl trip often if it was side-effect free...it would alleviate the boredom
 
Oh I almost forgot.... be sure to take a shit before the ride, trying to pinch off a loaf while frying is not fun at all.:alien:
 
The only thing that sucks is your fucked up for like 8 hours straight, It gets annoying after a while. But def worth trying
 
never done it, never will, but i knew some big time drug dude that messed with it, this is what he told me....he said there is good highs, and bad highs, just pray to god you have a good one....and if i did it, try not to get to hyped about seeing shit...he said he spent 7 hours one night running around the block, hiding from a big red dragon, that was tring to take his pet mouse...he said he woke up in someones car holding a handfull of someones hair...HAHAAH i never tried it after that story....but this dude was crazy, probably on acid too.
 
How dilated are we talking Frack?

Like disturbingly dilated (like that possessed bitch on Days of our Lives? that was scary as fuck) or just a little bit

DXM made my eyes constrict. That was kinda weird, but I think that constricted eyes are kinda funny, very deliated would probably be weird or scary.
 
I "babysat" my brother once when he tried it and he got a panic attack. I had to make him drink 1liter of wine to calm him down and it worked. He said after he drank the wine everything was great, but he never touched it again.

People will seem to say strange things, and often won't make sense. Just remember that they probably DID make sense, so don't laugh too much.

All in all a very good time. Start out with a small group of close friends that won't fuck with you. Have fun with it. If you start to get scared, just remember that it will be over soon, its not permanent, its just fungus.

I decided after a while that my thinking wasn't much different when I was shrooming or sober, that was when I found it time to lay off. That was after maybe 60 or so trips.

Shrooms are best out of the city in the outdoors. I know that sounds like some hippy shit but there's too much hassle in the city and some people find it very hard to keep their shit together.

I remember this kid freaking out because we were walking past a cop, we told him the cop wouldn't bother us if we "acted natural." So he performed this grotesque caraciture of innocence - hands behind his back, exaggeratedly nonchalant walk, whistling innocently- past the cop who was just looking at us shaking his head. We laughed so much I feared for my life. We were a little conspicuous considering it was about 1pm on a Tuesday.

Picking and eating was the way to go, I wouldn't buy them on principle.
 
Here's what my friend that's not me :) has to say about this:

lol @ some of the answers on this thread -- you're going to give the poor kid a complex. You shouldn't be doing shrooms, especially if you're young, but since you will anyway, it's a pretty fun time. I don't partake anymore, but used to have a lot of fun in college -- I consider shrooms "acid lite"; as someone mentioned, I consider it an "outdoor" drug (whereas I consider acid and indoor drug).

It's pretty much like being intensely high (off good weed) for a long time -- you will laugh, and laugh, and laugh; you may trail or get visuals, but nothing as harsh as tripping on acid. Tripping is a mindset, if you're all nervous about having a bad trip, it'll follow. Just go into it in a good, positive mood and you'll have a good time -- it's all a head game.

If you don't eat too much, it's fun to be in crowds, clubs, etc... Last time I shroomed (which was on a New Year's Eve several years past), me and my buddy ate a gram and a half each (or maybe 2) in a pub bathroom and hung out and partied all night (although we did end the trip in a deserted warehouse after it got a little intense)... If you eat too much, you won't be able to handle yourself in that type of environment and will need to go someplace more people/stimulus free.

Depending on the strength, about a gram is a good place to start for dosage, error on the side of caution though, you can always eat more later. Go for the caps, not the stems...

Have fun :) But be safe -- and if you're not sure, don't do it.

So, it's like saying "I just scored a lid" eh? lol...

Guess I'm not up to date -- in my day we just called it shrooming or tripping. (tripping being more specific to acid)

I thought rollin was extasy specific -- it applies to any drug?

P.S. Do they still call bags of weed "bags"?

Fuck, I'm only 30.
 
If you just said "I'm rollin" people wouldn't know what drug you were talking about. Then they'd have to ask.

If you say you're "shroomin" people know exactly what you're talking about.

I think shroomin is OK.

We always called it shroomin also. My best friend has a cabin right off of a river in the woods. That was the best place to go on a shroom or acid journey. There's nothing like trippin balls, riding in a canoe, flashing alligators and hitting htem on the head with a paddle:p
 
Try drinking a lot of orange juice or popping a gram of vitamin C half an hour before eating mushrooms. The vitamin C prevents the hallucinogen psilocybin from oxidizing.
 
True story in Boulder, Colorado

Once in my college days at CU a bunch of ud did an undetermined amount of shrooms and went up into Flagstaff Mountain and played Moses and the 10 Commandments. We put sheets over our heads and bodies and made staffs and stood on ridges calling out the prophecys of the old testament. To this day I can believe this realy happened. Boulder is one other dimesion.
 
Absolutly the best time I ever had. It was AWESOME. NEVER laughed so hard my entire life. My faced and stomached ached the next day from laughing. It gets to the point where you get tired of laughing and you just want it to stop.

Some important points (IMO):

1. Have plenty of time....8 hours for the trip....plus at least 8 hours of recovery...I was exhausted afterwards.

2. Be happy to begin with. Don't trip if your GF of 3 years got caught getting ass reamed by somebody else, somebody close to you died, you just gambled your life savings away, etc...etc....


3. Make sure rule 2 applies to all the people your tripping with.


4. Only trip with good friends..people you trust.


5. Definately trip in a "safe" spot...ie..a cabin in the woods. Being out in public tends to get weird and paranoia sets in. We took our first hit about 9 pm and another at 1am the same night. We tried to go to breakfest later that morning. It was a mistake...we were still cooking and the thought of running into a family member given our condition was too much to bear...

6. Have fun....remember once you start tripping there's no turning back for 6-10 hours
 
Thanks everyone for the replies. I'm most likely doing it this Friday. I'm going to be doing it with 2 good friends that have shroomed(thats how we say it around here) before. They have also done acid too. This is my first time doing any kind of hard core drug. I've done a few cycles of juice and smoke weed alot, but nothing like this. Curious to see how it is. I'll let you all know how it goes. We haven't descided where we're going to go yet.
