i think i might be getting hired at one. so whats the job situation like? its an opening for front desk reception + membership sales and services. is there alot of pressure on you to sell memberships and what not?
Prepare for long hours at low pay. Sales is mostly low hourly plus commission for the number of sales you make. You will have a monthly quota of memberships you need to sell and if you don't they usually fire you pretty quick.
However, if like the previous poster said it is a big busy gym it probably won't be bad.
I was one of the owner/operators of some Golds gyms a few years back. What your doing isnt bad.. the high pressure gig really depends on the company.. we were pretty low key.. some like 24 hour are the worst.. Ballys too.
Its a pretty easy job but doesnt pay much. and unless your a fucktard you're gonna get A LOT of ass.
I had sooo many opportunities when I was working there.
