My bro had a reaction to a shot of deca and some test and the Dr. at the hospital told him he will need predneslone (spelling mistake?). He said that since his nature production of test will need some steriod to bring it back on line. This predneslone is a cortical steriod, not anabolic.

Dr. claimed he could die with out the use of predneslone. Right, I have never read anything on this. We know more then they do.

Dr.'s don't know how to cycle off which is obvious to me. Just curious about it. Any feed back is welcome. I don't trust Dr.'s on much if anything. I guess they don't know about the use of clomid and hgc. Just goes to show they don't know much about anabolics.

Yes it is catabolic. I had to have a shot because of a severe rash on my arms and chest due to atopic dermetitis. I was also given a prescrip of it in pill form.

confusion

somewhere in the discussion with the doc there has to of been confusion or a misunderstanding in what he was telling your friend. what was his reaction to the shot of test?

That is what I thought about this Dr. A little young to be shooting off his mouth.

My Bro was dangerously low on Potassium, and I think he was short because of some heavy workouts the last few days. It could have been a nervous system reaction to being so low.

Any way he is home and is resting. Took a good jolt of potassium when in the hospital. He really freaked me out, and himself as well. I know that potassium is critical to the CNS and the heart, so it could have been the culprit.

That sounds really fishy..."die without prednisone..." due to an allergic reaction. Hmm...if there was an acute allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) I think something like epinephrine would be employed...for a more released/controlled treatment prednison is typically used.

As for predisone, yes it is catabolic, but can be used for short periods (couple days to a couple weeks max) with little to no adverse problems. It is usually "cycled", i.e. tapered.

Guys overreact when they hear something is catabolic, like you will shrink to nothing overnight. Relax.
