after i got arrested, i realized i wasnt in with the right group. so i got new friends and went to a new school. i was in 11th grade, not even 17 yet. most of you are like who cares you got arrested but it was a felony charge.

If you want a new life join the French Foreign Legion. They give you a new identity when you join and after 5 years you can go back to your old identity or become a French citizen using the new one.

I have started thinking about moving. I realized the other day I have been in the city for 6 years and as much as I love it I am getting an itch for something new. I am probably going to take a job offer that I get her but continue to look for work else where.

I've thought about it many times, but it always ends up that I would miss watching my little nieces and nephews grow up. I'd also miss the hell out of my family and I want to my parents out however I can. My first year of university I moved out of my house. One day out of the blue I sprung the news on my family that I'm moving over 3 hours away. I left my family and friends. During the first few months of university I thought about dropping out of school (nobody would know of course) and going to the US just for the hell of it to experience something new. I never did go through with that because I found out my sister was going to have a baby and I really wanted to have someone I could be an older brother to. In retrospect I wonder what would have happened had I made that move.

i'm not running from anything......

fact is, the city i live in is a trash hole, it's boring, screwed up, the people are fat, unfriendly, and boring. I'm not the only one who thinks this either. It's one of the few big cities in the US that more young people are moving out of than moving in. getting my friends to go out and do stuff is like pulling teeth a lot of times. the job market here for what I do sucks.....i actually have to commute out of the city to work. basically, i'm unsatisfied here, it's not where i want to be.

as for my friends, etc - i don't have any friends from childhood that i can think of except maybe a few from HS that I see occasionally. I would probably still keep in touch with some people. but a lot of my friends are just nothing but disappointments, i hate it when people just can't be straight with you.

so, that's where i'm at.....i figure, what have I got to lose?

whatever problems i have now, are coming with me.

Same here bro espcially the friends part... it's a real stagnant feeling.

Also my town is becoming a real shithole.

Funny this thread came up, I've been thinking heavily on this subject for awhile now.

I did it bro - just decided to up and leave...

Saved up about 2 grand... Put all my shit in my car (clothes, stereo, tv) only what I could carry and moved out to AZ... Got temp work working a jackhammer until I could find something decent... Applied and got into grad school out here...

Just make sure wherever you are going has a job market for what you do.... Found out AZ has no need for too many people with a brain after the fact, LOL
