Has anyone ever been to Dubai? The architecture is out of this world

I saw some of the buildings that they have and its unreal.. They have an 8 billion dollar self made Island that resembles the world... Here is a picture of the worlds most expensive hotels....

My best friend lives there (goes to college here). The things they are doing there are so mind blowing. I don't possess the mastery of words necessary to describe that place.
