I see it too often. I even thought about wearing one when I was in the fuzzball, between bald and having hair stage. I get hot sitting on the couch in one. I couldn't imagine working out in one.
I would wear one; matter of fact I plan to get some. Those have been around for a long time in various forms. In the 80's people used to wear something called a "do rag". The original use was very short-haired black men would wear it at night so their hair curls would look good the next day. They were sold in beauty supply shops. The "do" comes from "hair do". I plan to get a couple of the Under Armour skull caps. I'll have to take some pics with my stylin caps.
I always get a laugh when I see it. Mostly it's the younger guys who do it, but occasionally you see a 30 something wearing them, and that is really funny, or sad, I'm not sure which.
funny you should mention this dayna. this seems to be a new fad. just last week i commented about it to a friend at the gym. i have noticed that when a fad or a trend becomes popular among guys it doesn't take long for everyone to follow it. a few years back it was sideburns, then basketball shorts, then goatees, now knit caps. gotta admit i did three of those! i think i'll pass on the knit cap thing though. too warm here.
I`m 35 years old and proud to say never except ONCE followed a fashion fad my whole life. Not the mullet or long back of the head whateveryacallit, Not the sidevurns, gotees... nothing except for the colored laces for breakdancing a while back. lol I actually liked them. I never did ANYTHING because it was IN.
i think dayna is referring to knit caps that are folded up at the bottom. they are usually dark colors like navy blue or black. i think this fad originated in the ghetto and is now becoming mainstream. my theory anyhow.
