Has any event in your life changed you as a person??

Same here, I'm happier now..but the only person in the world I care about now is me...fuck eveybody else.

I truly don't give a shit about anything unless it benefits me now.

I guess I just don't see that as a bad thing. Maybe if you truly have the "fuck everybody else" view, but you can still care about people and remain emotionally strong. For example, I love my fiance, as much as I possibly can. If she died today, I would be sad...but I'd move on. A lot faster than most people.

I've lost the ability to care and have compassion for people.

Becoming a totally selfserving person can't be good, maybe financially, but not socially.

I guess that's where we differ. If you changed into this person, you can change back. For most people it takes a particular "event" to make a big change...but it can be done without that. It does take a strong will though.

Yes. I was in a motorcycle accident in 98'. I was in a coma for 13 days. I had a craniotomity (sp) in which 4cm of my brain was removed. Needless to say, you start to cherish things in your life that you previously took for granted.

We will all have many times like this in our lives. Each time will be different and will contiousley shape us and mold us as we age. It's part of life in generall. It will be up to us whether we come out of it as better people or worse.

ehh, not really any one event in particular.....but more or less the environment i grew up in....in a lot of ways. taken me years to reverse some of it, and still working on it

i think a lot of my behaviors are a product of the environment i came from, and aren't really so much a reflection of my actual personality.
