I won't and neither you nor that freak of nature on your shoulder can make me.

but I'm up 6lbs in 2 weeks. mostly from diet I'd say.

I started on Monday. I will let you know if I get any significant gains over the next few weeks. All I am certain of right now is that my quads are screaming.

Fro - for you, quads are those long thin muscles right above your knee.

I keep getting that confused with the long thick muscle hanging between my knees.

That's SSME's toungue between your legs.

my right side hurts and my nuts ache - I hope I didn't do the hernia thing. when I was squatting heavy and doing DLs before, this happened all the time and never resulted in much.

seeing great results on my shoulders - which is good b/c they sucked.

hoping to start seeing chest results soon - it sucks too.

in fact, the only thing that doesn't suck are my tris - and they are starting to get smaller/weaker due to less work compared to before.
bastards.

I'm off to get another shake.

I'm also taking 3 caps of CLA (the EAS brand) 3 times a day - been doing that for around a week - see nothing that I know of.

that is all

I ran into a little bit of trouble last night. I was using the 85 lb dumbbells last night for bench. I almost got stuck because I couldn't sit up! I had to have someone spot me in case I couldn't sit up with the weight after my last 2 sets.

(Just a little shameless bragging)

just lower them down loser. apparently my workout is different b/c I don't recall dbs for bench. I was up to 95s and feeling pretty cool with 8 reps on that - but then this guy asked me to spot him doing 100's and he had already been doing shit all day and he didn't even look that big.
and the fucker probably doesn't use gear either.

damn whippersnappers these days.

I like to kick like a retard in the vain hope that my spindly legs will have enough counterballance to pull me upwards. When questioned I tell people that it is the latest in ab fads...

I'll just lower them onto my chest and then down to my quads - perhaps why my nuts hurt.
if I can't get up from there, then I scream and cry like a baby, spitting and swearing, and then I just lower them down to the ground and pick them up after getting up.

or you could do like this one old prick at my gym and just drop them at the top of the movement. I think he just "likes the way they go 'boom'"

What scrappy said. Just lower them to the ground, watch how you do it though you could hurt your wrists when the weights hit the ground. 100s bragging are particularly tricky...

Well, I don't really have much experience dumbbell benching this much weight, so I had a little trouble with the technique you described. I figured it out by my last set though. Which is cool, because I have to up the weight.

My gym is SUPER strict about dropping the weight. I dropped some from about 10 inches off the floor once and got lectured to. Keep in mind the dumbbells have a thick rubber coating and the floor is rubber too.

The original workout calls for regular bench, but I switched to dumbbells on the advice on my phsical therapist. Actually, he told me to stop pressing movements for a while, then go to dumbbells. But he's a skinny little fuck and just doesn't understand.

Just out of curiosity, what's the weight of the largest dumbells at your gyms? Mine goes up to 130's which I use for incline bench (bragging) I'm trying to talk the owner into making a set of 150's

Mr. Cabo

my gym's biggest db's are 25s

hee hee - well, okay, still only like 110 or 120.
can't personally do them for incline - but I'm a lil' sissy.
