hang gliding lesson or parasailing - better present?

I hate giving cliche presents...so since the man's birthday is a couple of days after we go to hatteras, I was thinking of one of the two above for while we are at the beach. I've never done either and i'm looking for input from anyone who has done either one on whether or not it's actually any fun. The hang gliding would only be off the dunes (which are like a hundred or so feet high, mind you), but it would involve five "solo" flights and a three hour lesson. The parasailing would be 900 feet high, but only last 12 minutes (plus a quick "ground" lesson). Opinions appreciated!

That was helpful!

Another possible option is a 2000ft tandem hang gliding ride for 15ish minutes, but that sort of hinges on when we manage to make it down there on friday...

As far as I know, he's never done either, but both would have appeal for him....he's very much like me in that he has a good sense of adventure and loves the adrenaline rush. I don't know enough about either to know which one would give a bigger jolt. Probably the 2000ft hang gliding, but again our schedule is kind of flux on friday (the only day next weekend with times available that we won't be diving), so it would be hard to schedule something solid in.

i've been parasailing; i loved it. there is no "thrill" aspect of it though; it's just hella relaxing and the views are sick.
