Handgun permits at 18?

Hey guys, lets say i love guns i have had a subscription to a couple of mags since i was around 15. Now that im 18 i can buy a shotgun/rifle but cant get a damn handgun permit.

Now i am going to a securty guard class to get my license so i could get a part time job if i ever needed to. Now some security GUARDS ARE ABLE to cary a handgun on job, meaning they have a license.

Ive been trying to read up on all laws and shit and everything is inLAW code, and i keep reading 21 and older applicants. W/ no reguards to the security guard age for a handgun.

Any gun gurus out there that know this law? I mean i know a FFL in NC that i can get anything i want for very good price, but i dont want to cary a weapon into ny w/o a permit. So can anyone help out with this law? thanks

What manny said...i dont know about your particular state law...but i can gaurantee you that no security company is going to hire someone under 21 for an armed position. Their insurance does not cover that sort of liability. I coudl be wrong in 1 or 2 cases but thats the truth. Do you research bro, find out the laws and state practices. As for NY, its a severe liberal place...with soem of the mos tunconstitutional and anti secon dammendment laws on the books. The mayor there is a complete utter idiot. You will have problems with anything in NY. NY sucks, what a nasty state.

i TERIED TO Find info on the security guard thing couldnt find anything, but ya ny does suck with the fuckin laws. imma keep reading. I really love guns and would love to have one in the home, STUPID AS LAWS. and i cant risk having one in the home w/o a permit damn. 3 years to go i guess..

Permit for a Gun? Thats unconstitutional. Where do you live?...i will try to find out the laws....Only thing you need a permit for a gun is concealed carry.. Unless it is in ny they have unconstitutional , and moronic laws meant to deprive citizens of their freedom.

I have a problem with paying the state for permission to excercise a right that I already have. When a permit is given, it can also be taken away. The 2nd Amendment is pretty easy to understand. "The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed". I don't need a permit, or explain why I "need" a gun. We have laws to deal with people who use guns for criminal activity, I fully support denying guns to people who use them for criminal purposes. We have moronic laws because we have moronic people who don't know their rights, don't understand their meaning, or don't care. I love to debate gun control issues, anyone care to take me on?

i with you on this one it is a stupid law. but then again there are alot of stupid people that if there wasnt a law would be walking around with firearms. I do believe in permits tho for 1(well only in crazy states like NY). But i believe it should be ALOT EASIER to obtain one.
