Hammer Diet

Here is what I have done with success

How many hours are you awake for each day?
Divide that number by 6.
3 of your meals will be whole foods divided into 3 fist sized portions.
The 3 leftover meals will be snack meals/shakes/whatever.

Whats a whole food?
Rice, pasta, bread, meat, fish, chicken, beans, oats, eggs, etc




I follow the same guidelines to bulk except I eat 2 fist sized portions at every meal. :)
 
thats actually not a bad diet. im may give that a try seeing how im trying to eat cleaner while bulking.

and its obviously working for you.

I used to do something similar. I was a lot smaller at the time so keep in mind the number used wasn't that big, but I used to allocate myself 100 calories for each waking hour.

If I was awake 16 hours (typical) I'd eat 1600 calories for the day. In hindsight it was probably a bit low at the time (maybe anywhere up to 125 would've been okay), but it worked and was simple.

It allowed me to eat whenever I pleased, as many or as little times in a day as I needed. At the time I had a lot of opportunity to eat, so I was eating a lot of very small meals very often.

This diets got my reccomendations :) It's very good. I've been something like it to cut down. I lost 10 pounds in 10 days so far, and I always feel fueled for my workouts and cardio.

That's a pretty wicked concept for a diet. A handful would be something like a can of tuna, or one burger I guess. Maybe 3 eggs?

That's pretty small, and having that 3 times a day seems a bit too small. What would the snack meals consist of? Protein shakes and stuff like walnuts and almonds?

Oh, and do you have anything to drink with those fist-sized portions? Or is it only water?

FIST SIZED portions. More like 3-4 hamburger makes my fist. :)

Legion, for snacks I just drink from a gallon of protein-shake throughout the day. Mine has about 130g of protein. If its protein you are worrying about, you wont have to anymore with this method. With 3 meals and 130g shake, you should easily have over 250g a day.

BTW, I'm never hungry during the day. After 8 when eating is restricted, I start having problems :)

Hammer's diet has been good for me so far (only about 2 weeks). I would reccomend it for cutting. I don't know about bulking *yet*, but I'm sure it'll do the trick.

Oh ya, and your always fueled. Did I mention I had a 40lb PR on 3x5 sumo-deads just a day ago?

Actually Hammer, I don't haha. I thought you meant literally fist-sized portions. Or... do you still? I know I can't fit 3-4 hamburgers in my hand haha.

I had to fall back on poptarts. Better than starving.

But then, ten minutes later my mom walks in - oh I bought home goulash and a chicken roll from your aunt's earlier.

I was ready to either cry or kill her in a blind rage...
 
That diet looks pretty familiar: 3 chicken pattys with cheese, rice and veggies. Do you remember that, it took you almost an hour to eat all that shit, the chicken pattys were enough for me!!!

Dude, I wouldn't ever grow, my fists are the size of apples, small apples. Can I borrow someone else's fist?
 
reintroduce them by eatin before workouts about 100g and then upping the amount during other meals. I really don'y need mnay carbs to function though, a lot of other people do though
