I feel for ya Shirlene.... to sugar coat my shit sandwich of a weekend after my car permanently broke down, I also cracked a molar but the piece didnt fall it's just there torturing me, my palate also swole up and to make things awesome NO kids came to my house.... now I have a big bowl of candy and bitterness/frustration.... worst part was there wa SO much stuff I wanted to do this weekend and did NOTHING because I had no car 
oh man, so sorry nan...for the palate tooth till you can get to a dentist, salt water (helps keep the infection at bay) and clove oil (by far the best oral analgesic)

Nope still not resolved.... I'm torn between getting a damn 99 mercury sable on my own (costs $3600) or getting an HHR 2009 ($12995) with my friend cosigning, but he's being such a manipulating douche I dont know what to do....
I have dental insurance but do to the car thing dont wanna spend much money until I find out what I have to pony up for..... my deductible is $50 and 80/20 on restorative/fillings but I dont know how much will I have to pay total.... I'll leave it for next paycheck, hope the damn thing wont fall off.... if I have to pay over $300 I'll fly to CR and get an overhaul, my brother's a dentist there....

Those old Saturns are solid cars. We almost bought one a few years back. Just make sure it's not been abused. Say no to the Sable.
well that's the thing I just KNOW it was abused, the first half of the engine is all new and clean and the dash has cracks = full on front collision
so neither of them is a damn prize but it's all I can get on my own since I have ghost credit...

Not sure what you mean by "the first half of the engine" (the exhaust manifold?), but if indeed it has suffered major front end damage absolutely do not pay a cent over $1700 for it. Not a dime over mija. I'd start at $1450 and might negotiate up $250 eventually after some extended haggling.
The radiator is impecable and the little containers for like coolant/windshield liquid etc are new so it's like it probably suffered damage and they fixed it, the bumber and paint is impecable in the front and not the back....
I just finished talking to my friend and he is an ASS bag.... he had me looking at new cars alllllll weekend and pretty much said we'd get a PT cruiser or HHR, then said a kia spectra then said if he co-signs he's in the insurance and he doesnt want to be, so i tell him to co-sign a personal loan in the bank and eh doesnt want to do that either, then tells me to lease a car and then I told him to go fuck himself and thank you for making me lose time when CLEARLY he wasnt gonna do shit for me, his bullshit cost my husband his job interview and potential job, I only put up with him because I was supposed to get a better car and now I'm back to square one where I can only buy a PIECE of shit car, unfortunately RW I am in no position to bargain, I have no down payment and my car is broken down and I have absolutely no credit, Im actually damn lucky he's willing to give me a buy here pay here POS car.... Im really starting to get upset.... no luck since I moved here, hopefully things start working out once my husband get a job and we can open a secure card and pathetically start building mini credit with a toy secured account

Gutdamn chick you couldnt think of a shittier duo if you tried LOL. Just go buy a 1999 Honda Accord for that same $3600 and be fucking done with it. those things are built like brick shithouses and are unstoppable. You buy any mercury or a fucking HHR and you will be sorry I promise you.

a crown vic with a windsor motor 351/ 5.3 also damn near impossible to blow up
any non lowered honda

most nissans (be careful of timing belt records and gen 2 maximas have iffy transmissions)
RUN away from the sable
OLD (think mid 80's) bmws...run away from any with starter issues...you have to damn near pull the engine to change it

also..old ford trucks but honestly you have to have a little mechanical skill to keep em going (spark control modules, sticky throttle bodies and lousy overdrive transmissions)

The problem was that I had no down payment at all, no cash, just my broken down pick up, my friend didnt help me with signing at the end but my mother gave me $1000 and I managed to get $500 so we gave $1500, they took my car for $1000 (WOW) and I ended up with a 2002 Mazda 262....
