Half keg?

I've got about a half of a 16 gal keg leftover from yesterday. Will this still be good next weekend? I gave it a good 20 pumps to pressurize it before I pulled the tap off. I was just gonna toss it, but figured if it holds for a week, thats free beer next weekend.

Anybody know?

google it

i would think it would be fine

my grandpa use to have a keg in the fridge at all times growing up

What if it's not kept cold? The only way I can keep it cold that long is to empty my fridge and throw it in there, and I'm not going without a fridge till Saturday. Was thinking opf throwing it in Thursday evening and then putting it in an ice tube Saturday after work.

What ya think?

if u let it get warm it will skunk it...out it in a garbage can closed with ice in it

^^^I disagree, the water will suck the coldness out of the keg. Garbage can with ice.

Most domestic draft beer is not pasteurized, so it must be kept cold. The temperature of the beer must be maintained between 36-38°F all the way to the point of dispense. Temperatures above 38°F will cause foam and promote sour/cloudy beer. When temperature rises above 50-55°F, bacteria growth rapidly begins to spoil flavor and cloud the beer. Simply put, keg beer storage can be compared to milk storage: "if it is not kept cold, it will spoil."

If dispensing with CO2, and maintained at the proper temperature( 36-38°F)and pressure( between 12-14 Lbs) :

Non-pasteurized draft beer (most domestic keg beers) will remain fresh for about 45-60 days.

chemically aged beer will spoil...we just tried this with a mini keg and it went to skunk in 12 hrs

Well, put it on ice last night. Just poured a beer to check it out. Tastes fine, but flat. Fuck it, I'm going to the store.
