The best hair remover is laser removal. It really works, but you have to do it more than one time. I had the hair on the top of my back removed 2 years ago. Nice and smooth now. The reason you have to do it more than once is because some hair is dormant, and then when it grows in, it's time to laser. Depending on which laser machine you use depends on the pain involved.

The lasers have a popping noise and smell like burning.
Ruby, Do not use, Its very slow and doesn't work that good.
Yag, is good, its very strong.
Alexandra, is good to.
There is also another one with a cool touch to the end which is the fastest and the least painful, I just don't remember the name of it. Before you go you must put "Emla cream" all over area,(this is a perscription and the laser place will give it to you.) spread it like toothpaste and cover with saran wrap.

This numbs the surface so you will not feel the laser as much.

Without it the pain would be like getting a tattoo on your eyelid.

And if you miss a spot, trust me you will know. Your skin will be red for a few days and very little scabbing will happen , nothing to worry about. Once it heals your good to go
Hope this has helped you.
