thats it. this is absolute. we dont NEED anything else. everything else is varying shades of WANT. why should you, or any legislator decide where to draw the line in the sand about where "want" should stop. why is it okay to want a handgun but not a machine gun? why is it okay to want a beer but not a joint?

beer isnt a need. a handgun isnt a need. theyre both wants, the acceptance of which is based on the sensibilities of a bunch of poeple i dont know from a bar of soap and dont give a shit about.

The problem here is that nothing gets enforced. Gun controls don't work , immigration does not work , drug control does not work...

Nothing works because nothing is enforced. Saying that gun controls here don't work is not an excuse to not use them or enforce them. The only excuse is as B0und said the entrenched culture and fascination people have to guns.

i think the dea, the atf, and the border patrol would disagree with your claim that nothing is enforced...
