dude.. the "living with mom" jokes are fucking old.... and they dont bother me much... face the facts.. i could either move in here for a little while and help the lady out and vice versa... then buy a house.. or i could continue renting and not be able to save enough cash for a house of my own... i'll gladly live with mom for 8 months and have a secure home for as long as i want than lease from someone else and bury myself in more financial trouble.

This is off topic, but have you looked into a duplex after you save up a down payment? my brothers friend has one, and his monthly payments are only about $100-200 a month. After you save up enough for a down payment perhaps you could go that route.
