Gym Hygiene

Hello All,

Here I am posting another gym related question. For the past week, I have had a skin rash on my left fore-arm. It comes along only when I am at the gym and then dies off by the very end of the day. I thought I was maybe geting it from the preacher curl as many guys don't put towels on and maybe it was a hygiene factor.

So, today I did my Back exercises, but not once did I rest my arms on anything as it was speed deads, good mornings, back exts, and cable rows. Coming out of the gym I had the rash on my left arm again.

I'm baffled. Any wild guesses why I leave the gym with this?

see: thrush. sometimes high humidity can cause outbreaks of rashes. plus, see: impetago(sp)? i used to get that from the wrestling mats in HS.

Put hydrocortisone on it. That makes anything go away. Heat rash? Stress? Not sure. Definitely not worth a trip to the doc though.

Thrush, Jesus Christ that sounds not nice! Can a guy get that and see symptons like an arm rash?

Impetago sounds a bit better! Definitely a gym incident as it appears no-where else except there. Granted, the humidity in The North of England was high this week, particularly today.

Could be a type of fungus too if it is high humidity. Either hydrocortisone or Lotrimin should do it.
