when my girl was my girl we never went out together.. she'd meet up with her girls i'd meet up with my boys.. than we'd go out and eventually meet up by the end of the night..

now that i'm married i rarely get to go out anymore..

The last 2 weekends I was invited to a "girls night out". A "girls night out" is just an excuse to get out and be able to hook up with other guys.

Bingo!

Girls don't want other "dudes" hanging out with them because they wouldn't receive the attention and be hit on.

Guys don't want "girlfriends" around so everyone can be themselves and have fun.

My X used to go anytime there was a chance for females to be around. BIG TIME jealous. I ended up just not going out.
She never went to my gaming sessions with the 's.

Friend 1 - came into town without his wife.
Friend 1 - wants to hang out and have fun.
Friend 2 (me) - says okay and invites friend 3 (a mutual friend)
Friend 3 - shows up with girlfriend.

So instead of having 3 buddies out talking about old times and cutting up, we have 2 buddies, and a COUPLE making goo goo eyes.

Yes friend 3 sucks to bring his g/f along. I know guys that do that, because if they don''t then they don't stop hearing their women bitch about how they never bring them out.
I also have a female friend that used to do this. She was too insecure to let her man stay alone in case he "wondered"

I'm a firm believer in the saying, "The couple that plays together stays together." That said, I need my woman bonding time and I'd be little put off if my S.O. didn't need his guy time. Unfortunately, most of my friends are now either married or headed that direction and have not taken on this same sort of mindset.
