Guys, what do I do?

The patellar tendons on my knees hurt. I'm still able to do squats and presses. But regardless....I do the workouts with slight pain. I use the knee wraps when I go really heavy.

But always after a leg workout, the tendons hurt a lot! Walking is a bit painful. But by the next day, the pain is gone. What is pissing me off is that this is affecting me from pushing really heavy weights. And of course, I have to suffer through the workout and after the workout.

So here are my questions for you guys. IF you care to help me.

#1 Which leg exercises should I avoid at all costs? Some say leg extensions and others say hack squats. I would like to hear more opinions

#2 What can I put on my knees to help alleviate the pain? A cream or ointment of some sort? Somebody told me to put a cream like Ben-Gay and then keep my knees covered with knee wraps. NOT actual lifting knee wraps. But the ones you just slip on.

Front squats are fairly knee friendly. I would try subing them for regular squats and try training in the 12-15 rep range for a while.

I would ditch any machine for legs as the ROM they provide isn't natural and can aggravate injuries.
