guy gets kicked out of the gym for grunting out a 500lbs squat..

I've been to gyms where the instructors, while tolerant of squatting and deadlifting, absolutely were not permitted to demonstrate the exercises to clientelle.

Some gyms simply don't want serious lifters around at all. That's not where their income comes from and they can do without us. We require more weight around than normal people and we intimidate them just by being there.

bottom line: we put a serious beating on their equipment. they have to replace stuff because of us, and vaccuum up our chalk dust.

these fitness centres are built for lazy people to fool them getting the best trained body with the high-tech machines and of course NO effords (that's important!!)

same like people buy men health ect ect they see the promises at the cover best gains in the shorstest possible time maybe 5minutes of training three times per week...

I am also in a studio like this but there is no problem to squat or deadlift, but I hear from everybody : 'Deadlifting, are you crazy - no I don't want to do it because my back should not be injured' or Squats : no that is too exhausting for me' on the other side I see them over years, doing the 3or4 day split one muslce group per day every friday on the latpulldown machine pull 70kgs 8-10 time for 3-4 sets or only train their upperbody (no, don't want to get so big legs) and wondered why nothing happens....but the flex is subscribe and the weider mega mass is ordered.....haha...

sigh.. there MUST be someone who franchises harcore gyms around the world!!

must be the lack of food that's causing me to day dream.. *back to reality*

theres some "power house" gyms down here in vegas, and alot of golds gyms. I quit golds and went to the local las vegas athletic club down here because they have a nice hot tub and sauna that feels good after a work out, and they still have 2 power racks. The only thing I don't like about it here is that they use those square-ish weights that roll in big increments when you put them back down on the floor on a dead lift.

Definately not a gym for the serious lifter. Oh well, they're losing at least SOME business from people watching that.
