Looks like being a shooter/hunter may have just gotten me a job.

A buddy of mine, who also has BRD and works in the oilfield is talking to his boss for me. The boss used to be a guide in Wy. for deer and antelope. Just waiting to hear about the time for an interview.

Can't freekin' wait to get back on the rig. Hopefully after I get lead I can go up north and do some horizontal drilling in the Bakken. My parents were just up there and said there is a rig on every corner now, even moreso than during the last boom.

BP is staying pretty steady now, though I seem to be withering away. My appetite isn't back yet but getting better.

I know people don't consider the oilfield a low-stress job but it will help me get more motivated. I am looking forward to getting back to it. Have about 4 people lined up to take care of my boys when I am gone too, that is what I was most worried about to be honest.

Oilfield trash unite!!!

I might be getting back in the game soon too. Although mine could be an office job.

guns are great but I discovered that ammo, even at walmart is EXPENSIVE these days. I needed some shotgun shells and .357 and .38 ammo and it cost like $55! Stupid expensive for ammo.

Yeah ammo has gone up like crazy. I am checking out a guy in town to see how his prices are right now. UMC yellow packs of 250 are over $100 now, if you can even find them. 5.56 is on par with .45 right now too. I am collecting brass and bullets now when I find deals on them so I can stock up on reloads. Have to dig out the old shot shell reloader too.

When you find the v-door key. You're not even a worm yet and you want a DD job eh?

Scots, I give you six months in an office job before someone in the office dies.

Not bad at all really Ed. Takes a certain type of person certainly but it isn't bad. I just have to make sure my boys are well taken care of.

Just let me know. I go shooting 2-3 times per week and have competitions every weekend if I choose to go.

She could come to a club shoot, beginner's course, to learn about rifles or we could go to an indoor range and I can teach her about handguns. Whatever she wants to shoot, I have.

If she has questions have her pm me about them.

How is work going?

that may be a good idea--if she sees respsonsible use--plus she grew-up in summit county so it can't be new.

work is busy--a little too busy but its payback for all my years of screwing around too much. I will pm you when i see what we can do---

I know better than to shoot 2k rounds through my 9mm hi point carbine, I bought used, before cleaning it then wondering why it keeps jamming.

Did you get new biker spandex for the summer?

Yeah office jobs suck but I am so over travelling all the time. Plus an office job affords me the chance to stay in the gym fulltime unlike your skinnyfat ass. You pussy with an attitude.

Oh it is on now. That myth has been dispelled many times. We will be testing the accuracy too.

Ak's are good for throwing lead down range. My AR will eat you alive on the range for accuracy. Just need a bit more cleaning.

Shit I know it ain't accurate at range, but I can still hit a clay at 100yds with open sights so it's not super bad.

But oh wait what's the price difference again first on the guns then on said lead? Plus getting hit with a 7.62 is a lot worse than a 5.56.

NOPE.

They both exhibit similar damage actually. A 5.56 split when it enter a body and does just as much damage. Plus they are lighter so I can carry more ammo.

AR's cost more because they rule. Ammo is more expensive because, hmm, what does the military use now?

Pink Furniture it is.

Similar internal yes, 7.62 much more effective against armor/obsticals. Needing more ammo just means you're a worse shot. :)

You buy me pink furniture and I repaint your entire house bright purple with lots of pink triangles on the outside while you're gone. :rainbow:

Try pricing .50 cal rounds. Talk about sticker shock, the cheapest I can find is $12 for each frigin bullet. Stupid expensive. No big deal I'm gonna sell it anyways.

Now you wanna run around and talk about guns like I ain't got none!

Whatcha think I sold 'em all?

But all you savage cats knew that I was strapped wit gats when you were cuddlin wit cabbage patch.
