Gun Owners

New member
you guys might want to buy some high capacity magazines or another firearm, because people/politicians/talking-heads are busting down the doors to demand gun control legislation.

today was the deadliest shooting in american history, so every gun-grabbing politician is going to use this to their advantage.

Make sure to fill your bunker with plenty of water and Red Dawn videos. Also, prepare a few tinfoil hats.

laugh all you want, but a gun ban has already happened only...actually, it has happened several times.

i will not pay $100 for a 'pre-ban' magazine when it should only cost $14.

it has already happened.

aap, buy a lower then.

so long as your lower was manufactured before any ban takes place, it can have all of the evil features these assholes will ban.

let's talk about this.

1. You cannot discriminate. That means that you have to have pragmatic / scientific / or medical evidence to ban one from owning a gun

2. The idea that guns reduce crime.... (I'll seriously research)

3. Metropolitan areas without gun bans , ie New Orleans
As everyone known new orleans is a town where regular citizens can get a license to carry consealed weapon and you see the murder rate. There were 7 people shot and killed just yesterday (I just happened to be in New Orleans for Jazz Fest)

7 murders in just one day?

Interesting. Though remember that is one extreme, if you're going to paint that type of picture you should also look in the flip side where Carry/Conceal laws seem to be working.

A repost from another thread but it shows the other extreme in the county where I grew up.

I grew up where every teenager I knew had access to firearms. I was given a .22 caliber rifle for Christmas when I was six. In high school, guys had full gun racks in their trucks when they drove to school. We received three days excused absence for the first three days of gun season, deer hunting. The last murder was in the late 1970's and the guy beat his wife to death and set her body on fire for having an affair.

Did the shooter(s) all have CC permits?

Most serious gun owners that I know value their collections and would not behave in a manner to jeopardize their toys. I know in NY (in my county) you need to fill out a permit, have 4 character reference - return the info with a waiting time of 3-8 months. Then to purchase a pistol you need to got to the sheriff to get a purchase order to buy the handgun and once you have you must wait an additional 7 days.

That's not a great plan to be spontaneous with when it comes to having a mental breakdown and a massive gun shooting person slaughtering act.

A gun ban would not solve the problem - I think having gun laws that apply to all the states in the same manner would be an improvement.

If someone wants a gun with the intenet to harm others, they will get one - ban or no ban.

Better to have a paper trail to know just who own what and where.

All of my weapons are not registered to me. I'm just "borrowing" them.

Does anyone here have expertise on the UN's gun control policy? It is one of their headline goals. The UN's mission is to create a situation like the UK has in every country. Sooner or later, a Democrat presidency and congress are going to submit to this nonsense.

yep, in 3 years since we passed ours here in minnesota, there has not been one shooting involving a licensed person..

there was 1 case where the person with the license went back into his house and came back out with a shotgun and shot the car that was fleeing his property..

but we changed that law as well.. now you can use deadly force in the prevention of personal property while it is on your property/land..

I need to find out how to get myself an unregistered gun before these idiots ban firearms alltogether in this country.

I bet most of these politicians pushing the anti-gun agenda sit all comfy in their gated communities with security guards in high-class areas. Of course they have no need firearms. They can relax while their pockets get even fatter from corruption & greed.

What about LA, Chicago, Washington.... these 3 cities have strict gun bans making almost impossible to conceal carry. As far as I know, Washington is pretty violent.

Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do to stop a twisted mind. There're a few out there and will do their shit with or without a gun ban.

No way, the NRA own most politicians.

Sick peeps are sick peeps. If this jackass did'nt have a gun ,he prolly would have done an OK . City type bomb.

they are already raising prices.

i ordered glock mags at $16 each, and now they are $20 each at the same place.

15 round mag for my handgun was $25

luckily my GF works at the Outfitters and got me a 20% discount.

I may pick up another 1 or 2.

what gun? i might be able to find them for you cheaper.

Glock 19

Thanks, but it's not too bad after the 20% off she receives.

Got me a sweet Gerber knife too so I can go around stabbing people (since that's what knives are used for...stabbing and cutting, according to bluepeter.)

Just picked up my TAC-65 suppressor a couple weeks ago and got it mounted on a P22. Got my suppressed 10/22 couple months ago and grabbed 6 25rd mags for it. I'm good for awhile.

If a ban does get passed however, a good investment for anyone with the money would be to buy a bunch of ARs with the bayo lugs and flash hiders and all the preban mags they could and just let them sit for about five years. Watch the value for them double and triple over that time like it did after the 1994 ban.

But something is better then nothing. The problem is that Washington DC is surrounded by Maryland and Virginia , both of which have no gun bans. I bet Virginia may push to change that , but still high gun availability in Maryland

Cocaine is illegal in every State and readily available. The problem is that people who want to kill others and themselves will still have little problem finding weapons capable of doing it.

What's wrong with gun control? Guns aren't a right any more than cars are a right. Yet you want LESS oversight and LESS responsibility to own them?
Next thing you know personal laser-guided nuclear RPG's will be the next right of your Founding Fathers... where does it stop.

It seems like most of the "don't ban guns" crowd like to stroke the metal as a substitute for a hardon, fantasizing about western movies where only the villians get hurt and the hero just winces

BTW gun collectors are generally the people who get their guns STOLEN... because they are specifically targeted.

Indeed, it would take decades to significantly reduce the availability of guns in a society that is saturated with them. Gun availablity is really the problem.

b0und (glad we have so few guns down here, seriously)

The problem with your argument is that at the time of the founding fathers the common arms were, in fact, rifles and handguns. same as now, therefore its obvious the second amendment meant gives the right to bear handguns and rifles, which were the accepted common arms of the times, not nukes.

Funny you mention that because my guns are surrounded by a moat with sharks with frickin' laser-guided nuclear rpgs on their frickin' heads.

Most of the don't ban guns crowd can't get it up? wtf?

the ban gun crown is too afraid of real actual firepower.
